Let's face it. Everything in this world is about making money. The sooner you wake up from the dreamworld that making games is all about love and passion the better.

Big corporations are very unlikely to risk launching a new IP that might not sell when they could just as well release an other sequel to an already established franchise that will guarantee them sales for the same production costs.

It works that way in any entertainment related industry. Change, difference and "NEW" stuff always comes with fear.

to add to what IR said,

I think the tiles are too flat and even...as if they were all on the same level. You should have some covered up by dirt in a few spots and make it look like the stones are placed INSIDE the soil and not just hovering above it (thats what it looks like right now)... also, as already mentioned, it's too noisy and too contrasty.

    Good first attempt though

not worried at all. there will always be people who will try and stain our industry because they dont understand it (thompson) and there will always be buyouts, just like in any other industry. this is all normal. it's definitely still an industry thats worth working in. well worth it. i dont think this will change anytime soon.

they are 320x240 right now. make sure the full-size ones are at least 800x600.

also, when i go in level design section and click on the duck-hunting game it opens a new window. don't do that. keep everything in one window (except for clicking thumbnails).

    YOU ATE MY SPAGHETTIOS.

They didn't have meatballs, do you like the ones without meatballs? And they tasted oooookay. I wasn't too impressed.... I'm spoiled.

None of the links work except one. Thumbnails don't work yet.

The mainpage is just a "welcome" site and pretty much pointless. You could already have art on there and spare the visitor an extra click. Make sure you put that little footnote with your name and e-mail on every subpage. Indicate what job you are looking for. This needs to be very clear.

For in-game pictures or scene renders where you did SOME work but not ALL of it, indicate clearly which art pieces on the pictures were made by you and give credit to the other people whose work you are displaying.
