To be completely honest I think this whole thing has been blown up like a ridicolously oversized baloon by the press. The woman is basically dead already. The decision is just about making her death official or keeping her chained to her bed in that condition until she dies completely in a natural way. This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. I'm sure there are other people in the same or similar situation as she is right now.

And yes klein, its actually hard to get a gun here in Europe, unless u have lotsa connections, and thats exactly what psychotic wannabee massmurderers dont have
False. The guy who did the Highschool massacre in Erfurt, Germany was member of a rifle club w/ shooting range which is where he got his weapon from.
I agree with what the others said, too.
In the end it all comes down to the person itself. A gun isn't dangerous without somebody willing to fire it at innocent people. It is the people who do these things who make up the actual problem. Yes, soft gun laws allow them to access items to carry out their actions more easily or more quickly than they would normally do but at the same time strict gun laws wouldn't prevent these people from doing what they want to do.

Please post a flatshade render or wireframe of this. It would be interesting to see. The model looks good, the texturing doesnt look final yet like you said yourself.

1) Do you use custom Photoshop Brushes? As in do you go onto deviantart and download some to make your job easier? I've only used brushes so far for blood..
Yeah I use grunge brushes a lot, its also pretty simple to make your own...take a picture of concrete for example, then just play with the levels so you only have black and whites remaining and tweak it until you get the pattern you want.
2) Photo Ref. to start? To you usually take a photograph of something you're doing and minorly tweak it on Photoshop? I been trying to do photographs lately with the polaroid border and I found myself using a real-photo that I touched up a bit. (I can post later)
depends on the texture. I usually start with a photo for the base and then start layering other photo and handpainted layers on top of that. The days of 100% handpainting EVERYTHING are over...
3) When you do a site, do you're layout first in Photoshop at 800x600 then I'm assuming slice it for Dreamweaver? That's what I've done so far.
i make my sites in 1280x1024 so that anyone with a lower resolution than that is screwed.

4) Could someone point me to a site mainly for texturing, or a thread with a long list (besides phong.com though I love it)
wut
5) What version of Photoshop you use mainly?

How come? Didn't he first shoot his grandfather, which was a policeman, and take his gun? It's more or less standard for police over there to carry some sort of firearm.
I really doubt that 1 police man got 2 pistols and 1 shotgun with him...I'd blame the gun laws since almost every single person in the US can get a weapon without any problems at all, and it doesn't matter if its a semi auto or an automatic rifle when if comes to psychos (I think they are), they can kill with them anyway..
Lots of guns and lots of messed up people = Lots of killing.
They could get a gun pretty much anywhere IF THEY REALLY WANTED ONE.
Or do you think a mass murderer would go like OH SHIT THE LAW SAYS I CANT HAVE A GUN, IM FUCKED.
I dont think so.

or you could just play the bink files in the bia\media folder IF YOU HAVE THE PC VERSION AND DONT FEEL LIKE BEATING THE GAME ON AUTHENTIC.

You can have a detailed texture that tiles well.
And yeah, big holes etc. are better done with decals. But for this thread its completely fine since the point of it is to show off the artistic skills. If we all started posting 50 decals with cracks, things would get messy

Keep it up!

To add to the things Zilla pointed out,...
ONLY use photo source when it's a sharp crisp picture. Nothing is worse than a texture thats using up a whole 512x512 space with a totally blurred out photo pasted onto it.
If you do have a high quality photo source, make sure you work it into your base texture very well so it doesnt look like it's actually part of something else. For example, the SUZE is obviously painted onto the wall. However, the stoneish texture in the letters is totally different from the texture of your base stucco. Looks odd.
The 2nd one is waaay too blurred and since its just text, you could have easily done that manually in Photoshop and the result would have been much better. I also feel the way you erased the paint in the 2nd one to make it look worn off looks wrong. It has this sandy look to it. When paint wears off it usually chips. Try giving it a chipped off look.

All i have to say:
HAHAHHAHAHAHA.

It looks very flat. Especially the window. It's not really a problem if you intend to use normal maps but just saying.... One thing that strikes me as a bit odd is the strongly worn and contrasty concrete trims in combination with the sharp and neat window.
If it's a building in construction it should all look equally "new", looks weird otherwise. Clean textures are tough.

If you go to like Hungary or the Czech Republic you can see 300 hookers lined up like that by the border.
