the problem with the second one is that its just a head floating in white space, it needs to be brought down and interact with the picture plane some how...
but yea the scribbles are nice though, makes it feel more alive and gives it movement.
here is some photography I did in london, I figure instead of taking the stupid picture of me near each sight I would attempt to do some nice photography of the great city:

please do the internet and yourself a favor and use CSS. Use a xhtml strict or transitonal doctype. ![]()

I used zmapper for the normal mapping, the mesh that i used for this rendering was at the 2nd subdiv level which was ~10k polies, I could have exported a ~3k poly mesh and it would have look only slighly worse
on 6 subd level is was over 2 million and thats the one I worked with.
Zbrush
I also hear mudbox is a software posed to take over Zbrush, haven't tried it out yet
ferret: ty i'll have to join in for the ms paint thread.
anyways the Art Students Leauge is an art school in NYC open to anyone, you can take just one class or enroll and even earn a degree. right now I am just doing one class, but will take many more as I love the place... My school offers drawing classes but not during the summer or on weekends so I am taking classes at the leauge now

This is also good because it forces you think and be creative, which is always something good, especially for young kids that will play this game. theres a billion and one games where you just blow shit up, this a very nice change.
it also opens up like tons of new creative and funny ways to kill enemies, GJ valve!
ah dude thats a million times better than the gravity gun

be confident and keep it untill you get somin your happy with

"Fire in The Crucible" by John Briggs
A great book for anyone in any type of creative industry. He tries to get into the minds of the the most creative people in the past 2 centuries or so... Einstien, Mozat, Woolf, Picasso, Edison, Tesla... everybody you can think of. He uses modern research on creativity and links that with the lives of creative genusies and its all a nice easy good flowing well written book. Highly recomended.. I finished it about 2 months ago
now I am reading
"Art Mind Brain - A cognitive approach to creativity" by Howard Gardner
About half way though it.. So far I can't put it down... he started off by going into the works of many famous psychologists, philosophers, art historians etc.. You learn a lot about the work of Levi Strauss, Piaget and other lesser known scholars.. and now hes going into the creativity of childern and everything.. really great so far, lot of great insights. Im guessings hes going to wove those subjects together later on...
Operation Flashpoint had to have had something like that....
