If we look at general murder statistics then the chart show something different, but still countries like Russia, USA and South Africa are on top 10. Still we see good rotting on the "rich"countries (is the definition of rich by amount of rich people or general pool of money that the people in the country has in their disposal).

U know ofcourse that they dont keep charts in poor countries, and when killings, rapes, massacres and kidnappings occur there, theyre not called crimes, but war, a crisis or just ignored because its normal there and there is no justice system. South Africa is a safe place compared to half a dozen countries on the same continent, whatever your charts say

What u are obviously forgetting is that on page2 someone already mentioned this happens in Europe too, that nobody said gunlaws make ppl crazy and that in most poor countries the crime rates are far higher than in our rich countries.

About the only thing u can do about it, is taking guns as far away as possible from these moshlosers. Like u already discovered, schoolshootings and shootings in general happen less frequently in Europe than in the US.
