taking the bible as truth is naïve

Thats not why i said it. Postman said the bible tries to explain evrything, and im just asking then, why does the bible say then that it cant

religion is nothing more than primitive superstition to me

I still have a feelin u dont quite understand the idea of religion Peris. The whole point is that it IS primitive, its the beginning.

The universe in its original state was primitive, but not fake. When u were born u were more primitive than u are now. In mathematics there are primitve expressions from which all others are derived, doesnt mean theyre false. Simple and naive is the only way it can be if its the beginning.

Unfortunately not evrybody understands 'basic' or 'primitive' doesnt have to mean its dumber than a really complicated theory. Just to put it simply, if its not primitive, it doesnt try to explain what religion tries to explain.

    re·li·gion ( P ) Pronunciation Key (r-ljn)

    n.

Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.

A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.

The life or condition of a person in a religious order.

A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.

A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

Anyways, saying that religion is naive is well, naive

And doesnt the bible say we cant understand what god is?

Religion wants to naively explain the unexplainable. Science, on the other hand, wants to give a rational and theoretical explanation to things that some day can be proven as a cold fact, like the world is not flat for example.

    Period.

Religion isnt a book that tries to explain evrything. Its a person trying to understand it, these days with the help of science.

Science wants to give a rational and theoretical explanation for evrything, but doesnt. So what do you think about things science doesnt try to explain, for example, what created evrything? You dont think about them at all, and call religious ppl naive because they do? Or maybe you do think about it sometimes. Well these thoughts have nothing to do with science because science cant explore this terrain yet. Your thoughts about what created evrything are just as naive as what ppl call religion, with the only difference being that you exclude the possibility of god, something science has never done or tried, because it cant.

How can u exclude something u dont know what it is?

    To quote a genius:

"It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

It is an old maxim of mine that when you have excluded the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

I calls 'em like I see 'em. You got us started on all this God=scienceLOL shit anyhow, so don't even try to bail now. God filling the gaps is bullshit. Pure and simple. "Creationism," "intelligent design (see: Creationism)" and other such false tripe have no place in a science classroom because...they're not science.

This is exactly what ive been saying
