i think much of the niceness comes from the blue lighting which probably is done through the source color filter stuff. mix some fog in with some nice tree models, bumpy terrain and a nice sky and you;ve got some purdy shots.

the eyes bugged me a bit because i'd expect a more adrenaline pumping charging into a room look but its not that big of a deal. his nose on the otherhand bugs me, if you followed his nose through the oggles it isn't even close to lining up.

i love that picture though, aside from the nose i think it is absolutely fantastic. whoever drew it is talented.

i played the game here and there, it definitely looks amazing, but of the maps i played i found them insanely linear creating fucking terrible chokepoints. i also find the movement too limited in some respects. the newest map, i think its hillah, has ramps out of its spawns to prevent the other team from getting in. the usmc has 3 exits, one has a fucking car parked outside you can easily hop up and get right into their spawn. i thought that was the dumbest thing ever and had to be mentioned. obviously its their first release and its excellent in that respect, i'd give it a few more months until i become obsessed with it

i havent used both but my dad has a d80 and it's real nice, cant say much else about it. i'll have some pics we took from this trip tomorrow

flight was delayed a day because of weather but other wise i've been in florida for 6 days. my dad had a problem with his scuba license so he couldnt scuba dive one of the days. he had to make some phone calls to turks and caicos ($$$) to sort out the problem. we ended up snorkeling with some manatees one day. i didnt really get any pics because the water was crap. i got 2 or 3 pics of white blobs in the water or their nose coming out for air. then we went to this place that was a giant sinkhole in the ground. probably 30 ft from the ceiling to the water and another 100 ft down. real cool lighting because of a hole in the roof and blue water. we didnt dive due to the license problem. then we went to a spring fed river that was real nice and clear. dad sorted the problems and i got some nice under water pics of little fishies and people and turtles and a little cave. i probably got 5 real good pics out of it. i wish i could have dove more but what ever. we'll have to come back in the winter and do more diving (apparently the water is so much clearer and the water is the same temp because it's spring fed.) i dont have anything to resize the pic with on my laptop and i cant upload them but i'll be home tomorrow night and i'll see if i can do it. i get to sleep in my uncle's house tonight with like 7 extra guests D:

oh and we rented a sweet (gaytastic) PT cruiser convertible that we cruised around in and naturally chicks just jumped in when we hit red lights.

im on vacation on my shitty ass laptop, when i get home i'm all over this. i dunno if my computer can handle it, at least not on decent graphics.

i just hope that when its over i can get some cool shit
