Quote' timestamp='1359084642' post='322139']I never played any Zelda, never was much of a Nintendo guy. I tried to get into twilight princess, played around 4 hours of it and let it go, i really can't see what the appeal is. (maybe I should have fought through the first few hours of the game, but whatever)
With that being said, is skyward sword any good?

Twlight princess is pretty good but indeed takes a while to take off. Not really a fun of the murky graphics so I'd say to skip that one and go play any of the other Zeldas. The ones on the DS are fantastic too.
Not getting a Wii U just to play this, but definitely getting this if I ever get a Wii U.
Lots of Civ 5, deeply regret not buying the expansion pack during the steam sale ![]()

Completely unrelated and I don't mean to derail the thread but that's exactly what bothers me about a lot of games nowadays. Nobody cares if the game takes place only at night, this is supposed to be a game and not a real-life simulation... (unless you were trolling of course).
I mean, look at the MGS games, nothing makes sense there and nobody gives a shit
I hate it when devs move away from "fun stuff" to favor realism and immersion (which is a very subjective term, Fallout 3 is a very immersive game imo, even though nothing in it resembles real life).

Looks great! Is this using Anvil?
That rules, thanks for sharing ![]()
By the way, the demo has been out on the PSN store for a while now. I tried it but couldn't understand shit of the battle system. Not surprised though, all JRPG demos are like that XD
Yeah looking forward to this one ![]()
Yeah it highly depends on the studio you work at. I can stay late now whenever I feel like or when I'm having fun with what I'm doing but on the previous studio I worked I never really cared because:
* Overtime was usually unpaid and when it was paid the rules were never clear
* Overtime was usually a result of piss poor planning by other people
* Personal reasons (for example, some of the stuff I was more passionate about and actually did some crunch on was cut from the game due to stupid decisions)
I believe one should never crunch for free unless they work at their own company. By crunch I mean consistently working long workdays for a long period of time. Staying late to finish something you feel passionate about every now and then is fine imo.
Sometimes it's not as simple as just refusing to stay though, specially if it's your first job in the industry, so use your best judgement and what fits your case ![]()
lol i had the exact same gfx card for years ![]()
Java is the most annoying piece of software ever created. Why the hell do we even need to have it installed? And don't even get me started on those annoying updates.
I can't remember any software other than Minecraft that requires it, so I'm getting rid of it from my microsystem right away.
Forgot to take your pills today eh?
Yup, finally going over the second season now too. The first 2 or 3 episodes are quite slow but then it picks up the pace again
Definitely one of the best series I have ever seen~
wow looks great, really dig it ![]()

lol my thoughts exactly.
The device itself looks pretty ugly... it kind of reminds me of those shitty chinese Tetris handhelds from the 80s. But on the other hand it's gonna be pretty easy to make games for this so it could end up being a great alternative for small studios/teams.
Let's just hope it's priced at 100 bux or so, cause otherwise there's no way this will compete with the 3DS.
