Looking good Ravage, love the mood!
Once you do a prop and decal pass this will look super awesome

Sleeping is my #1 problem too. I suffer from chronic migraines and usually have outbursts when I don't get enough sleep for a few days straight. What I found that helps me a lot is to take a natural sleep aid on thursdays, which is usually the day that I feel the shittiest since I can never get enough sleep on weekdays, and go to bed earlier (like 10 pm or so). This way I break the chain of not getting enough sleep and kind of reset my body for the weekend

The presentation kinda sucks to be honest, I spent way too much time on the car and ran out of time to do a proper skybox/dioarama

Nanostray is the best looking "low poly" game imo, but it's kinda obscure sadly. Not sure if it was a good idea to call it one of my references but oh well, who cares now XD

Been working on a low poly scene for teh polycount contest, it's a mashup of Rock N Roll Racing, Nanostray and other cool games

Still need to do the cannon, the finish line, the cars and the final composition!

Based on metacritic then the reviews have been sorta average, but everything I'm hearing from people who's seen it is that it's absolutely spectacular~~can't wait until Friday when I've got tickets for it~
I don't get the low scores either. But how can you trust scores when the Avengers has a 8.2 score on imdb lmao (I can't remember a single scene from that trainwreck of a movie tbh)

Man this movie completely surpassed all my expectations! Definitely the best sci-fi to come out in years, would watch again!

So I've been tinkering with the scene a little more and I've decided to go a bit more creepy with it, and changed it to night lighting. Still just roughing out ideas, I need to start a topic! Also, I really need to sort out my monitors. One of my monitors has a lot more contrast and saturation, I'm not sure which is the correct one now..

I don't know what's your goal with this scene, so if you are doing it as an study or just for fun ignore my post. If this is going to be a portfolio piece, read on.
* First of all, the scene is very generic and boring, it has no elements that make it memorable. One way to improve this is to actually define what the theme is. "Creepy hallway" is very generic, you need something a bit more specific such as abandoned hotel, haunted victorian mansion, etc... the more specific the more memorable your piece is going to be. If you can come up with a little story then it's even better.
* The scene doesn't look like a "game environment", there's nothing in it it that makes me think it could be in a game other than the engine it's being rendered. Maybe you could add some other rooms/areas to make it more interesting? Maybe a few cover pieces? Try to add elements that show you are a game developer and not just a 3d artist.
* I know the scene is still very early but the lighting is super flat. As of now, the exterior light source is pretty much your main point of interest, so I'd suggest adding point lights to fake some volume. Make the interior look like it's being flooded by the exterior light. A good reference for interesting hallways is the RE6 demo, try it out if you haven't already. Oh and Last of Us has some cool interior lighting too.
* Ambient is very dark, I can barely see your texture work/geometry.
* Some height variation would be cool even if it's just a few stairs or different ceiling heights.
Hope that helps

You could for example use de_dust2 as a starting point and then modify some chunks

Watch El Mariachi, the best movie Robert Rodriguez ever made
(rumor says the budget for the whole movie was about 10k USD lol) -
Man I really wanna get the new expansion... but 29 bucks? what the hell...

Tried to pick up Max Payne 3 again where I left... but damn, what a chore this game becomes about 2 thirds into it. Gameplay is really lame and predictable as most of the levels follow this basic rule: Max gets to a new area, something bad happens, Max kills 50 guys, Max moves to a new area, repeat. The amount of enemies you kill is so ridiculous that I got an achievement for killing over 1000 enemies and I'm not even finished with the game.
Anyway, after forcing myself through a super boring ass level (
Quotethe boat in the panama canals
) and dying several times because I could never tell which direction enemies were coming from, I decided to switch to easy mode just to get to the end asap because honestly I don't care anymore... And what happens next? The game breaks and restarting to the last checkpoint doesn't fix it.
I probably wouldn't be so pissed off if I hadn't paid full price for this game when it was released

Is the first any good? Always thought this movie was crappy and pretentious as hell...
