Damn that Siege Tank looks badass as hell, I wanna make one but it looks so fucking complex Some preview pics of the finished pieces would be pretty neat!

Noah - Nice alt history/sci-fi flick, gets a bit slow towards the end but overall a cool movie

    * Try to do different stuff at home than what you do at work - it's pretty fucking hard to work on something 8+ hours straight to go home and do the exact same thing

    * If you are losing passion for your current project put it on hold and work on something completely unrelated to it.

    * Learn new skills, even if you don't necessarily need something for your job right now it will aggregate value to your career and probably come in handy one day.

    * If you have time to play a lot of games then you probably have more than enough time/capacity to do work - I noticed over the years that physical fatigue is somewhat independent from brain fatigue. While sleeping takes care of the former it's rarely enough for the latter. What you need to do to rest your brain is just doing whatever you enjoy (watching a movie, playing games etc...) The trick however, is to treat those activities the same way you would treat sleeping: necessities in order to function well and be in good shape to do quality work.

I remember a few years ago when I wasn't aware of this fact I would feel like shit every monday after spending an entire weekend playing games instead of doing personal work. But once you treat those as necessities and not "wastes of time" you can draw a line and stipulate how much you really need. Just as someone can spend an entire weekend playing games they can also spend an entire weekend sleeping or drinking...or working! it's up to you to decide how much you want to dedicate to each

TLDR: keep a good balance between having fun and improving yourself, sleeping and working

We are all fine, the reevaluation happened over a year ago but it was only officially cancelled now

Anyways, had a blast working on it, hope one day they show something like they did for cancelled projects in the past

In other news, FF XIII came out on Steam today and XIII-2 and Lightning Returns should be released soon too:

I don't think killing an estimated 30 to 60 million would be considered a custom in anytime nor would any amount of good work ever justify that.

My only gripe with the singleplayer is that it doesn't scale down. I feel like shit when I have to spend 40-50 minutes on a mission and someone who playing with friends can do the same in 20 minutes. The game's difficulty should ramp up with more players and so does the loot.

Is there a way to invite players around me to quests? That's another aspect of the game that's very weak, you basically don't socialize with anyone at all since there's no trading/chat whatsoever.

Well i loved the 6, 7 and the 9 no worry about that. But really, when I tried the 13, apart from the universe i unfortunately wasn't able to get into, the main reason i didn't liked it was this :

Could give FF XIII-2 a try if you liked XIII's universe. It's much more like the old ones with separate maps and stuff. The story is actually pretty awesome once you understand what the fuck is going on (which they only explain 70% or so into the game).

Anyways, would be awesome if they released a HD remaster of XII, still one of the best looking games ever

Am I the only one hyped for this? I'd buy a PS4 tonight if this was out

The latest Final Fantasys have been a mix of ridiculous stuff thrown together in the blender that somehow feel cohesive and unique when you play. You can expect as much frustration as enjoyment though, as it seems like they are always looking for ways to piss you off with archaic systems and stupid gamedesign decisions. I think that's part of the magic though, instead of doing what everyone else is doing they stick to their ideas. Sometimes they work beautifully, sometimes they are a catastrophe.

You really have to leave your preconceptions aside when playing any of these games though and if you do it's hard to find anything else as unique these days, at least not in the AAA market

  • Which game really made you fell in love with it's world and characters?

Looking back now the first game that really made me feel like I waas playing in an actual world and not just a computer game was probably Kings Quest 6. All the environments are still fresh in my mind even though I played this when I was 6 or something
