Nice Minos, is that in a games engine?
Yep Unreal 4 as Pogos guessed

@Pogos: Agreed! I was gonna work on plants next, have some really cool ideas for those. The skybox should also add some color (we will be making our own with moons and shit).
TheOnlyDoubleF: haha just focus on finishing it. Working on these contests is a great way to level up, just force yourself to get as much done by the deadline

A crazy coincidence happened today.
I went to the beach to walk around a bit and enjoy the nice weather. We stayed there for about 50 minutes/1 hour and on the way back to the car I realized that I completely forgot to add time to the meter (never happened before). I rushed back expecting a ticket or my car being towed but when I get there however, i look at the meter and it says 00:00 and one second later it shows in big letters EXPIRED. Someone who parked in that spot before me left the exact time that I stayed at the beach, down to the seconds... If this happened 1 or 2 seconds earlier I would have never known about it and just assume the meter had been out all that time.
What are the odds? Guess it's my lucky day

Two of the maps I artified for this season in Starcraft 2 have been live for a while now. Make sure to check them out, the team did a kickass job on this season!

I think under the skin would be much much better if it was shorter. Anyways, weird movie with a cool soundtrack and Scarlett

Thanks for reminding that I still have to check the La Brea Tar Pits properly! I was there once but had no idea you could visit the ongoing excavations at the place at the time

Turns out I'm going this year

Let's have a Mapcore EOT meetup 2015 plz~~

- Definitely recommend the Griffith Observatory if you are a space geek, it's my favorite place in LA
There's also the Space Shuttle downtown which I highly recommend (costs like 3 bux and you will never forget it). - If you like art there are the Getty Villa and Getty Museums, both pretty cool (and free)
- Avoid Hollywood at all costs if you are short on time, it sucks. A lot. (Unless you like going to tourist traps and paying 30 bucks to see wax people)
- Venice is cool if you like drugs and mid-century architecture. Santa Monica is a nice if you are looking for touristy areas, there's some cool shops and vistas there. I've been to Malibu once and it was kinda boring but nevertheless it's still a cool beach if you are coming from Sweden

Some more stuff to do: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g3…California.html
Are you coming down to OC? If so we could get a mini-mapcore meeting and grab some beerz

This wasn't really my point, more that downloading 65gb in most of the UK is a real joke as our internet is shit. A good 1tb ssd drive here can cost upwards from £350 to £500 depending on the speeds. Right now that isn't affordable for me.
Then get up and go buy the physical copy?

or wait for the onlive version XD

Not exactly low-budget but no AAA blockbuster either, Snowpiercer is a really cool post-apocalyptic movie with lots of original ideas. Worth a watch

Looks pretty dope stepp, love the shapes! Agree with others that it looks a bit too dark. Some brighter ambient lighting and simple color correction tweaks would go a long way to improve readability. Here's a quick tweak using levels to remove some of the blacks and a subtle color balance adjustment layer:
