This kind of movies will always suck cuz they want to please everyone except the fans. They always modify the story to make it more friendly and welcoming to people who had never played the game. Look at the resident evil movies, they dont have half the atmosphere and tension the games had. Instead of going for a complex and rich story (like the games did) they went for a special-effects driven movie cuz that would make more money.

If u going to have huge open areas with terrains just scale the textures to like 2.5 or 3 that you wont have any problems with r_speeds

oh why the player model is darker than the rest, looks really weird. The tiles are really bright and the model pretty dark. Does it look like that in distance ?
