undeserved. Ghana was the true winner

Nah I'm not depressed or anything, I just wanted to know if I was alone in this or not. I don't regret creating stuff, I just regret not going out very often, cause as Mazy those wild high school years are gone. If I don't get a job in the games industry I'll probably do something similar (like design or other kind of visual arts) so I know that the stuff I created isn't worthless at all.

oh and yeah, you are right Izuno. We have an entire life ahead (or not, we can always day in the middle of our life history ) Anways, all we can do now that we are mature is make better choices and enjoy everyday as if it was the last (funny thing, most people say that but just a few actually do).

one additional question for you mino....is the problem that you aren't getting quality feedback on your stuff? are you showing what you've done to people who can help you improve? I've had a lot of help over the years from good people.

Nah that's not the problem. People always give me nice and constructive feedback. I owe not giving up on mapping to everyone who ever commented on my stuff.

I had the idea for this thread after reading this post in Mazy's site:

    http://www.mazy.net/?p=216

So, let's say that you have the chance to go back in time and change anything you want (I'm talking about your mapping "career" here) would you change a thing ?

I surely would. I deeply regret staying home and mapping instead of going out with friends, getting drunk and kissing babes. I lost the best years of my life sitting in front of the pc working on worthless shit. I had loads of fun and pleasure indeed. I also made many GOOD friends in my mapping times. People that I hope to stay in touch for the rest of my life.

I wouldn't totaly quit mapping but I would try to conciliate things better, like I do now. The worst period of time for me was in late 2004/2005 I think, when I rarely went out and lost contact with many friends. I even spent a whole year without practising any sports and without making any new friends (IRL I mean). That's quite depressing for a person.

My life got a lot better this year when I learned to go out again and meet new people. I made many new friends and even found out what true love is, even though it's all over now. At least I had a small taste of how it feels like and damn, I like it!

What makes me feel better is that this nerd'ish hobby may get me a job in the future.

Anyways, I want to hear from you all and find out that I'm not alone in this.

The president of fifa said that the referre of holland vs Portugal, was not up to the match, and that he(the referee) got a yellow. Plus the faul against ronaldo at the begining of the match deserved a straight red card, and that deco didn't deserved the red card.So as usual we, portugueses, will blame it on the referre, altough we still won the match.. i still don't understand how holland didn't won, but hey i'm happy next stop england!

Didn't know you were portuguese! Good to see another portuguese speaking guy here in mapcore.

So yeah, since we are having the WC and everyone is talking about football, what is your favourite football game ?

Mine is: International Super Star Soccer Deluxe (SNES)

This is the game that marked my childhood. My brother and I were used to playing it everyday and it was hella fun since we were at the same level. Sometimes we would even fight after losing a match and shit like that

Interesting site I found about this game: http://home.alphalink.com.au/~warrior/ISShist.htm

oh btw, this is where the Winning Eleven series come from (they later changed the name to WE when they made the PSX version).

haha that was the coolest game so far imo. I really wished Holland had scored so that they would go for extra time and even penalties.

That's truely amazing. The env. lighting in the ND map could be slightly better tho imo.

btw, fix the building texture in the background, it's misaligned (the one right behind the yellow billboard) http://sa74n-design.de/portfolio/images ... image3.jpg

Sorry but I don't like it. It seems that you mixing too many styles and the lighting is just bad. The textures also don't fit together. I like the height variation in the first pic though.
