I love your decadence level! It's got one of the best environment art in any Source mods. I also love how you guys made the maps open source. It's always nice to see how other people approach things in the same editor you are used to.

    Welcome Dan!

That's some nice work you got there. But I'd like to know why UT3 mappers put so much visual noise/contrast in their maps. That's one of the reasons I can't stand playing it too much to be honest. The Bad Vibrations level looks specially busy. The starkstrom level on the other hand looks cool, has a nice atmosphere and seems to have the right amount of details and depth. The Warsow map is my favourite of the bunch. It looks amazing and stylish. That's a Quake 3 based game isn't it?

Lastly, I agree with others. Make the horizontal scroll nature more visible because I'd never notice it if others didn't mention it here.

I consider seeing older (not bad, just old) work a plus. It shows someone has been around for a while. It shows someone started out in the mod community. It shows the person can, in this case, work with BSP. It shows the person can handle several themes and styles.

I agree. As long as the work being showcased is of high quality (which is the case here) there's no reason to remove it.

You could try overriding the default lightmap the mesh uses? It forces it to use a more detailed lightmap, which obviously hurts performance but ususally improves the accuracy of the effect.

I believe the option in is the mesh properties somewhere, I can take a look later today if you want the specific location.

I don't want to use lightmaps on such simple models. I just want them to get lit properly. The 3d buzz guys didn't lightmap those support beams either.

I just heard our game is getting quite some exposure from Ubisoft there. It's the one who appears after the imagine brand trailer called Imagine Detective (yeah we got our own trailer =) )

Alright I was following the 3d buzz video tutorials and came across the same errors with vertex lit meshes I described above again. The funny thing is that 3d buzz's meshes look perfect.

Oops! hehe, now my post done properly

    Why?

Also I remember people not liking the PS3 had a big fan, but isn't that good because big slow fans make less noise then small fast ones?

PSOne: Lacked gameshark slot (yeah I liked that shit when I was kid) and broke down after 2 years or so of usage. It wasn't as reliable as the old PSX, which lasted 5 long years for me.

PS2 Slim: I dunno if it's just me but most PSX games didn't work correctly or froze after a few minutes. It also heated a lot and some games didn't work for good. I had to buy a 3rd party cooler at the time, it didn't fix the problem but minimized it.

I had other slim owners reporting the same problems to me while other friends who owned fat ps2's claimed they'd had their systems for 3 years or so and never experienced such problems.

I dunno I've always been skeptical about these slim versions. I had both a PSOne and a PS2 Slim and they sucked ballz compared to their predecessors.
