Nice concrete jaboo.
I believe I like the top one most.
I was browsing through some old textures I had laying around and I found some morningstar css textures I had started on so I went ahead and finished a pair with normals, specs and such. Don't know if I'm gonna do more. Was fun to find them at least.

Very nice h2. I like the style.
Perhaps the door wood could be a tad bit brighter.
And I think it can be quite bad to have shadows droping from the right trim only making an illusion that it's lighted from that direction. Depends on where it's gonna be used of course but generally that makes it usable in less situations.
Good job anyways

The author of this book hangs out at pixelmorgue.
It was also a prize for a competition there

Haven't read it myself but it seems like a nice introduction to texturing and what to think about when texturing i.e. rooms with floor, walls and roofs etc.

Pretty nice. Not too fond about the normals but otherwise not bad.
Was bored and made a really quick wall.. It looks like shit tho and is way shittily sharpened etc.. but anyway long time since I posted anything here so I thought I had to now.

Woah thx again

And thx for the spotlight
Great to see some mapping started with it as well. Looking forward to see more.

Thanks

Sure Michi, feel free to use for whatever you want. I'm just happy if they're used at all.

Well shame for them..
I'm sticking with Wii.
I'm happy with my psp tho

Here you go, a Source port (everything should work as I tested it, but it's late and I might have missed something):
http://philipk.net/texture/quake4_set/pk01_source.zip
Also remember, the textures would probably look best in strong spot lighted maps with a lot of contrast in light to bring most out of the normals which source doesn't do superwell otherwise

Yeah just heard this.
Even tho I could see this would come at some point

Thx.
Yeah that's what I felt too kinda, the shapes aren't very unique

I have some pretty cool ideas for a new set tho which could be a lot more special. But I'm still not sure. Wanna make something with a looot of self illuminated spots and try to get something more organic into it as well. Plus a lot of fun shapes. Just as far from symetrical stuff as possible

I plan to port to a source version as well asap.
I could do that tonight actually

woah thanks for all nice comments

I decided to release this now due to taking too long with it I just figured I'd release it now instead. I planned to have a lot more textures in but oh well... Guess that'll be in the next pack

Want to make something a lot more organic for next pack (whenever I'll get time for that)
Anyway, pic:

Ah looks great.
I especially like the third pic and how nice the spec works there on the concrete floor.
I like the lighting a lot as well.

Nice work ray. The last ones look a lot better indeed.
