listening to Batman Begins right now and I think Antrozous and Nycteris are just awesome tracks, the flow of the beats at the beginning of Nycteris is wicked. I was worried that Zimmer was conducting it since his stuff ends to sound a lot a like, but to hear that Newton Howard composed it made me happy.

just go in and don't expect anything, that is the best thing to do with any TV show. Form your own opinions, despite what everyone else says (like RD did with Lost

The island will be the typical action packed movie, Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys 2, etc, all done by Mr Bay

shall have to watch the internet to make sure I can find a torrent of this show and give it a go. I am surprised that it got on to US TV so fast.

Yeah but forget the director, sure it's his visual vision and all that... but the two writers (and one extra one (Office quote without realising it )) are brilliant... they did wonders on Alias, so the 'human story' and twists are bound to be good.As for WotW, we had trailers for Lost which UK Terrestrial TV is finally getting in the Summer and King Kong. King Kong looks amazing, like Jurassic Park on acid...

Lost is awesome, its about to hit the shelves on DVD for season 1 soon, I would definately advise getting it

Just let BB and WotW change places and you've got it right. Both had kinda forgettable music and I really wanted strong themes for both of them. Still liked the WotW soundtrack better.

once you listen to Batman begins a few times you definately hear that there are themes present.

I should just make a list of all my soundtracks since everytime I buy a CD, I just rip it APS and then never see that CD again, but since I am materialistic I want CDs and not iTunes.

I am now on my 5th time for Choco Factory. Its so crazy, I couldn't listen to BHD or signs or star wars this much, but I can listen to this all day

I expected WoW to be great, but was so let down, there is nothign too spectacular about it that seperates it as a distinguishable soundtrack, like hook, jurassic park, amistad.

Constantine is a surprising good soundtrack, if you like the sort of things that Zimmer did in Black Hawk Down (which is an awesome soundtrack).

Like Mazy, its tough for me to pick an ultimate soundtrack, but mine for the moment is CatCF since I have listened to it 3 times and I actually haven't gotten bored of it yet. Plus its just :megamon:

at work, but going to put one of the better songs up

    Danny Elfman - 02 - Augustus Gloop

I put on some crazy hotlinking access stuff, so if you try to right click and save it will put it as a JPEG file. Just save it as an mp3 or rename the file extension after it is done downloading and it will work fine.

Now I love soundtracks and scores, I own hundreds of them. But upon seeing Charlie and Chocolate Factory I think that this soundtrack is by far the best in a long LONG time. Energy and everything Elfman brings to this is just amazing and he far outdoes himself. I just got this and am listening to it after about a week of seeing the movie and the music still holds up, so its not a fluke. The music is just awesome, oh and Elfman did ALL the vocals, ALL OF THEM, lets see Williams or Zimmer do that.

Now my favorites of late have been Kingdom of Heaven and Batman Begins, but I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory just outdoes everything. And if you don't like this soundtrack, then you are either a terrorist or a penguin.

EDIT: I will admit that the rest of the soundtrack is at times Elfman-esque, but that is quickly brushed aside when one hears the new Ompa Lumpa songs in all the glory. It is best to actually see the movie first, but this is one Elfman soundtrack that has really stood out from the rest. Spiderman has a unique theme, but that is all.

but what was this PESTO surPrIsE?where mojo kept his porn?

something strangely created by the webhost?

someone got the password before it was changed and left a folder in their name?

PESTO was where all I put all webbased stuff, the images, the forums, etc. just to move everything from its main folders, as advised by Thirk. Just as a safety measure to make sure nothing could really be accessed.

No one got the password, I think.

Everything is back to normal, I hope

yes it happened, i emailed mikey when i saw it.there was only one folder called PESTO surPrIsE/ left when you went to Mapcore.net

    it is still there now

considering that I am the one that actually does any of the fixing, I am the one to email/message

i found a leaked BIA pic quick cover this shit up before its too late!!!

Hardly leaked, it is something you can do with the retail version of the game. This was made when we were making some test maps late in the BIA 1.0 dev cycle.

Last night, Xionhosting.net, our beloved hosts, decided that it would be cute to rebuild their apache servers and thus caused a lot of shit to break everywhere. if you went to mapcore you got to DL a file that, surprise surprise, had some interesting/valuable information in it. Everything was moved around in order to keep stuff safe. Passwords were changed (not stuff used for the forums like user passwords, but more higher up stuff) in order to keep stuff safe.

Whenevery thing got fixed, I moved things back to their original locations, just forgot to change the index.php_asdf to index.php.

Big thanks to Phish and Thirk for quickly grabbing when this happened last night. If they hadn't caught this and informed me I am sure somethign a lot worse could have happened.

In the end, anything bad that happens with the server should go through me since if you tell mikey he will just tell me to fix it anyways since its all my job.

Lots of the characters in HL2 were modelled after the voice actors too.. there's a bunch of comparison photos in that HL2 book you could/can buy. Valve clearly have some kind of fetish with giving their characters more depth, even if 99% of people will never know.

Eli Vance was modeled after a bum I believe

Kleiner was some Lawyer on the floor above valve

I think the Bum one is teh coolest. Hey dude can we take some pics for $100

agreed, since if it was someone saying that same thing about Moore and a Moore Lover was Op, the same thing would have happened.

This is the internet, people have different opinions. If it was just a kick, maybe acceptable, but a kick ban for obviously someone joking around is unacceptable.

people should only be banned when they're actually disturbing and annoying most of the channel.
