near future and the US has lost the war on Drugs, so there are a lot of drugs floating around and people just going crazy while on those drugs. Its Rotoscoped so its all live action just drawn over with some nifty cel shading like effects.

saw it last night. There were a few points in which some of the audience seemed but I think they figured out what was going on a little bit later. Its not an action movie like Minority Report so don't go in there for it. Its more a psychological, thinking movie that makes you leave the theater thinking more about the movie. The rotoscoping is awesome and at times actually makes you think that you are spaced.

Just watching and seeing all the work they did, its just :megamon: some of the stuff is rather lifelike (which it should be considering its all drawn over real footage), other times you don't think that they did any work since the colors are just spot on.

    I give it 4 / 5 :spot:s

Yes, what he did was inexcusable, I agree (I am just very frustrated with it). It was definately a very physical match, and yes that sort of pushing and shoving happens all the time, but Materazzi must have said some pretty awful things to make Zidane do that since he knows its his last game and it had to be something rather vile to make him go so far out of line.

Maybe the penelties would have been different. Its all in the past now, nothing that can be done about it. You can analyze it all you want. Italy won. France Lost.

    It-Tal-Ia!

    Vive La France!

I guess I am rather sick of the diving and acting. Its a shame its become part of the sport, but I am not sure I am for the talk of having 2 refs on teh field, it just seems like breaking of tradition. Yet if it results in better calls (damn you instant replays), I would like to see it and what the games are like.

ehh... i dont really think that having him in for another five minutes would have helped much.

Hardly. It was actually about what, 10 minutes to go? France outplayed Italy the entire second half and pretty much all the Overtime periods. They were pretty much robbed on PKs.

Here is some Materazzi, the GREAT   Itally Player

with more than 5 players (on a side) though, do you want to be a linesman that hardly gets any play, he just tries to block the defense from rushing in over and over. Seems like a good idea, until you remember all the boring parts (who wants to be the guy on special teams where your only job is to try to set up a block for returner?). 3v3 to about 5v5 might work, anything higher than that would just suck in my opinion.

Ronaldo seemed to be doing a lot of diving during parts of that match, especially near the goals. A valiant try by Portugal, just a bunch of unlucky breaks and not being able to get one into the net.

Think of all those poor Italians in blue shirts that had to leave that stadium and find themsleves surrounded by 250,000 pissed off, drunk Germans.

actually they said there were about million fans or so outside the stadium :X

WOW, Italy just decided to end that one in the last possible moment. I so did not want that to go to OT.

Sorry Germany, I was pulling for you.

sad to say, but I think England was the better team this tourney. they really did not perform to well and only had a couple really good games. They came out with intensity at the end, but they should have had that throughout the entire match

oh how the tables turn. Another good overtime game. I do rather enjoy how all these games are very very close in score, meaning that the teams are all pretty much even and no real chance of a blow out.

I found out about that on the first monday I believe, since I desperately needed to watch all the football I could. Only have really missed the First games of the day since they are too early.

Haven't played that many (Played a bunch of Fifa games in the late 90s). Anyway, Fifa 94 is probably my favourite (played it the most) since you could basically go up to the opponents goal, stand in front of the goal keeper as he was about to shoot and pop it into the goal~~good shit

I am glad I wasn't the only one to do that. "Hey goalie punt it out there. Opps I did a bicycle kick and knocked it in there!"

Another fun part about FIFA 94 or international was that when you got booked you could continue running around the field and the ref would try to chase you down. You could keep running for a long time before the ref would actually catch you and give you a yellow.

FIFA 98 for the N64 was good too I think, since that one had indoor soccer, which was a lot of fun. 3v3 and scoring with your goalie is a great feeling.

As for current games I think WE7 is the better of the two between it and FIFA. FIFA is more arcadey, but it lately has gotten better
