Thanks mate!
QuoteWhat is your plan of action with this; are you guys still employed elsewhere or is this now a full time effort for you?
If the prototype strikes a chord it might become a full time effort for us!

Some of the competing games look really good and fun, let's keep our fingers crossed!

Tripwire Interactive is a publisher now? That's hilarious! Congrats folks!

That's looking really good guys, I'm a big fan of Indie Games that remember the second part. It'll be interesting to watch your progress, do you plan on running a devblog anywhere?
Definitely. We'll create a website with a dev blog, message board etc. very soon. At the moment our indiedb page is the best way to keep up with our progress!

Or we call it "Piraten neuer Horizonte"!
Thanks for the detailed explanation cj, we should have consulted with a native speaker. We can still discuss the name, but whatever it is going to be called we better make it fun! -

Warby creates ALL assets. 3d models, textures, animations,...he is a machine. Skjalg spent a month coding in Warby's bunker in Hamburg but now works from Norway. Zacker just joined the happy family and is currently at Warby's place, fixing bugs like a champ. And me, I do everything else from cheering the team to hopefully cooking dinner for these guys some day in our own studio.

Quote from e-freakGame looks great. Typo, Logo and Trailer not so much. (which isn't too much of a bad thing considering you're doing a game and not a website-showreel
)Typo is being fixed. Warby and Zacker stayed up late last night in order to get the video out and missed it. All the media and the page on indiebd were created in like 3 days, because we wanted to enter the contest for winning a Unity Pro license.
Quote from SteppenwolfKewl! Congrats and good luck! What engine are you guys using?
As alluded to above, this is running on Unity (Indie).

What a shame. Is it due to the bad reception of APB?

The technology and asset quality is absolutely remarkable considering they have only used open source software, but the game looks 1:1 like God of War! Different setting, characters and so forth - sure, but everything else I see in that trailer, from combat moves to the wall climbing, the rotating levers and bridges, everything looks like copied directly from GoW. :-| On second thought considering id Software started by copying Super Mario 1:1 to the PC, maybe that is not such a bad start...

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Chavvo, you are becoming the personified "your momma" joke and I'm growing tired of it. If you can't help it, stay in EOT, but don't drag this to other parts of the forum please.

Happy birthday brooo!!!

Quote from the0rthopaedicsurgeon
i don't buy anything off steam since they localised the prices, except a couple of indie games. even during the sales everything is way more expensive than literally anywhere else. fallout 3 was reduced from £30 RRP to £15 last week, when the standard price on play.com is £13.
That isn't completely true, they've got some good offers every now and then. I remember Metro 2033 being a recent example for a good deal. However by far not every price promotion is one. It seems like publishers keep the price up on Steam and do not incrementally reduce it like retailers do. Then they run temporary ZOMG 50% OFF!!!!11 price promotions and users go apeshit. In reality this often only means that the game's price touches the physical retail price for a short amount of time and then goes up again. So yea, it's still worth comparing prices, because the notion that digital delivery decreases the costs of distribution and these savings are given on to the consumer doesn't necessarily hold true in practice...

Don't think so! Welcome!

It would be funny if they do the event and actually nobody shows up.
