theres no pc gamer here in brazil. and yeah I'm sorta tired of all this HL2 shit, I dont give a fuck about it anymore...

...besides the HL2 MOD you just joined
Well, I'm really curious when the game will actually be released then.

heyyyy u work at ubisoft montreal, i spent awhile considering applying there. They stressed inside out knowledge of 3dmax and a bachelors degree for every position there but mopping the floors tho so i pussied out. Im from toronto btw.
Ok let's see...klein works at Ubi Soft Montréal...he doesn't have years long experience of 3dsmax, he doesn't have a bachelors degree and he comes from Germany, not from next door like Toronto...hmmm...OWNED!
Na seriously, you are a talented guy Slicky, I'm sure you will have success if you will actually send off a couple of applications. Oh and don't be too afraid of modeling, I agree the philosophy behind modeling is much different than working with common level editors and it often takes several attempts but one day you'll start to get the hang of it, keep your eyes open for good ressources in the web, the "open up 3dsmax and fiddle with the tools until you get good results" princip didn't work here so good for me either (but I'm finally learning now heh).

Somebody move this to classifieds.
(Slicky kicks ass)

Ben: I haven't been up to date with the NS community for quite a while now, so pardon my question: Have you finished that NS map of yours? The one with the fancy red glowing crystals in the hives and stuff, that looked really good.

Very tight, I dig the music and the sound fx sample. I actually laughed when Johnny B Good suddenly played

Edit: Of course it is called "Johnny B Goode", thanks for the heads up Urban...smartass...

...or ask around at crymod.com to make a nice FarCry map!

Making maps for Warcraft3 is sooo simple, it's no real mapping, I mean you just...wait, that's a map for the HL Rally! Nice Tay, I like your rocks, the architecture on the houses "could" need some work, although it might just looks a little boring from the bird perspective, judging from the 2nd screen it looks fine!
-
You are ripping this guy apart, but hell, when I saw that pic by Posty I burst into laughter as well

An experienced and talented artist who offers his texturing and modeling skills for a collaborative map project? Somebody pinch me, guys this sounds like a very unique opportunity to put together a really kick-ass map!
I'm sure you will find somebody, welcome to MapCore!

If you work in a professional company and you can model basic things, it certainly is an advantage because you can quickly build temporary structures, slap them in the editor and check out if your idea works instead of waiting for an artist to build the object for you and might waste his and your time if you aren't going to use it in the end.

A skinning contest would be great, yea
