Stealth games are lots of fun in singleplayer. You control one character (Fisher, Snake whoever), kill lots of enemies in a sneaky way and complete missions. The problem about converting this gameplay into a multiplayer scenario is, that there is just one stealth guy and the rest are grunts trying to prevent the stealth guy to complete the objective. By guading it, searching for the agent or whatsoever. For the agent it would probably be lots of fun, like a refreshing SP mission with unpredictable enemy behaviour each time. The question is if it is entertaining for the rest of the players. To me as an action orientated gamer, the idea of running around the level, looking for an invader with a flashlight in dark hallways is not that appealing. Especially not if you get shot out of nowhere and have to wait for half an hour until the agent gets shot or he made his way to the mission goal.

A solution would be to have more agents who need to cooperate to succeed, however the stealth aspect might get lost if you have two big teams attacking/defending and then you have Counter-Strike/Raven Shield/insert "tactical" shooter. Just my thoughts, I'm curious what the others think about it.

Spacefish would require special asto suits filled with water to survive in space. Think about it.

I have the impression that the Hitman series is getting more and more Eidos' new cash cow after tomb raider has been squeezed out. :-?

I played the multiplayer demo, got tired of waiting as a spectator, quit the game and never touched it since.

Awesome intro, Blizzard's cinematics just pwn. Like the Diablo II cinematics, I saw the intro of that game at least a dozen times.

He got a point though. The (2nd) biggest German mag about PC games started to boycot these first-hands-on reviews which are made in the office of the developer. There definately is a difference between playing a game "at home" for days or even weeks or playing it for 1-2 days while the creators stand next to you (who try to influence the player by emphasizing good and neglecting bad aspects of their game).

So as a player, I must admit, the recent trend to invite writers for reviews is a step backwards in my opinion.

You can do some pretty stuff in farcry interior maps but these features also create many limitations mappers have to consider. Keep going man, you are on the right way

Eh..Farcry is only good because the WATER. and nothing more..

Anyway, judging from the screens it's looking nice. More detail and less glows would be good but you know that already. My only advise is that you might gonna run into serious performance trouble if you don't place lights carefully. You can have thousands of polygons in farcry interiors but the placement of lights should be considered when laying out the architecture.

Looks okay. I agree with fetter on the lighting though, most parts look a little too bright.

This thread has no use, you could just as well pm the person since you don't give any names or info about the discussion on IRC which lead to the ban.

T"h"iago? Interesting, is that the brasilian version of the name?

The scene doesn't look too bad, a few more polies wouldn't hurt though. More detail. The texture of the metal doors looks rather grainy though. Have you applied normal maps or something? It fits for the barrel and the building's wall but maybe you want to change the barrel's silver metal colour into something rusty more brownish. Keep it up

I dig the white-blue lighting, like the overall style of the map it looks very clean and futuristic without becoming too complicated and gloomy.

I think the lighting looks good now

Taking a look at the previous row of pics again on my PC at work, I'd like to mention that they appear very dark here. Quite irritating that the visual appearance of a map varies from PC to PC so much.
