I don't know what the hl source engine is capable of, because these pics look like renders, nearly like photos. So after seeing your last map (the melon one) and not seeing any previous textures and models of yours I am not quite convinced yet. Sorry if I do you wrong though.

Westwood was bought by EA and relocated to the EA offices in LA, so if you want to consider that as in-house, C&C Generals may be a good non-sports game they did.

I won't further comment anything related to EA (I'm simply not in the position to do that and still a n00b in this industry), but I think there are differences in habits between EA USA and EA England. Also, even if EA puts more pressure on the developers, everybody wants to work with EA. They got lots of money and they got lots of connections studios can profit from. I heard each game EA has published has sold at least 1 million times, I don't know if that's the official word though.

I wouldn't like to work in an EA in-house development studio (especially not after reading the essay), EA can be hard to get along with when you cooperate with them for a publishing deal.

I would have released it later too, but publishers think differently.

    a) They got a finished game they put lots of money into and want to make profit of it asap

    b) Bloodlines is an RPG and has a different target group than HL2, Halo2, SA (besides that halo2 and SA are console titles for now).

The only thing I don't like are the outside textures of the house, they make the house look to regular, not like an old, haunted mansion.

Rest looks awesome though, nice job!
