Maybe it just looks odd on the few pics you posted and more natural in game, also I agree that it sets the looks apart from other c17 themed levels and I'm not saying you should remove it, just change it a little. The kiosk is fine, but why would someone build a kiosk in a two storeys structure when there is nothing in the first storey agahdahfs I don't know, the thing looks artificial, all I'm saying

A cafe with a nice terrace, chairs, tables, a few trees would be cool by the way.

I can see why you have this structure in the middle, with all the pillars, good ol' mazz0l 2 stories vertical action and I'm sure it enhances the gameplay, but it just...doesn't look right, on the last pic it looks like you made a square and then placed in the middle some kind of 2 storey "thing". I just don't buy it. Keep the structure but change it into something more realistic looking, it doesn't fit the otherwise very feasible urban theme. Make it a bridge which actually connects to something, or add some shops on top and below, or a railroad or you convert it into the building but keep the stories with big windows... Maybe you can also get hold of some better looking pillars.

    Rest looks beautiful

The snowy theme and the many lights give me a UT2003 feeling, I'm not sure how this fits into the Counter-Terrorism context but it looks beautiful nonetheless

And knowing how publishers work isn't "researching competitors." Develoeprs and publishers are not competitors (unless a publisher buys you I suppose.)

Sorry my association of GBX with Ubi somehow went a little bit over the top there

Aka "Indigo Prophecy". A new kind of Adventure. I read a few previews about it and just played the demo. Seems to be a pretty cool "game" if you ask me, actually it's more like a really immersive movie, too bad the demo is very short. The controls are a bit funny, but check it out:

Considering that GBX hasn't had (to my knowledge) any deals with EA, you know a lot about how they work. Research on competitors, did someone who must know told you or is it GBX facing its back to Ubi?

Now Rockstar isn't only being sued, they sue back in return! Their target:

A music child project in Boston called "Rawkstar"!

I don't think the Rockstar guys can score with that at court!

    A bunch of videos here:

The level editor looks interesting, a simplified version of Sandbox

Building fps levels on shooters seems to become more popular, or at least, developers and publishers start to support it now with networks like x-box live available to distribute them on.

Props to the Ubisoft guys, game is looking good

Had very low expectations.Read some positive stuff about it recently, raised my expectations quite a bit.

Saw the teaser, expectations back to normal

But okay, does sound like it isnt gonna be completely awful. I'll still give it a chance.

Not sure if I will give it a chance in the cinema, but in general I feel the same way.

Why don't you go for a different styled map for a change? Or is blueish, futuristic all you can do?

Did a few small uber-snaky cables over by the consoles in the back; doubt you can see them from here. Love being able to build detail like that myself

    Oh SNAP!

Looking good KFS, I would reconsider making the lighting that bright though, a few more shadows wouldn't hurt. Or maybe you want to rearrange the lights, since the walls are extremely bright/well lit whereas the ceiling is very dark.
