RD's first level for source.
AND SO IT BEGINS!
Quote from KungFuSquirrelI guess I never really understood that ultrasounds are cross-sections rather than just hitting a surface and calling it good... I was slackjawed when the nurse was like "there's the heart... you can see all 4 chambers there" and when I could make out the details of the brain (or what's there so far, at least) when she was getting the head measurements.Technology is pretty impressive...
There is a human being growing in your wife and you call ultra sound "impressive"? ![]()
QuoteEven when I tell people I do game development for a living I get questions like "Oh so you're a programmer?"
I get that a lot too heh
ahahaa on seeing that photo I knew it wouldn't be the last time I see that kid's face in this thread
Of course their engine department isn't twiddling thumbs, the UE3 technology lock must have been a while ago considering the count of licensees they have distributed the engine to by now.
But by comparing the detail of information on the UE4 engine and on the restrooms in Epic's new offices provided by Rein, you can see where the priorities of the article/interview are ![]()
Woohooo awesome! Iggy joins the euro-core ![]()
heh funky, the rain shot is cool too
The boundaries of the level look unnatural, the rocks look too even and similar everywhere, try to create more height and shape variations or if you ask me, get rid of them in some parts and replace them with house walls, fences or something else which serves the same purpose but looks better.
Also the position of the antenna looks odd, I think you would rather try to mount it on top of a building if it isn't too big than in the yard of a house surrounded by cliffs.
Other than that great job nexus, keep it up
I've heard a couple of things about the "Games Academy" in Berlin and most of them aren't very good. One of our artists was there because the employment office paid for it (so he had some sort of degree), another one still has an unsigned contract for a tutor position lying around at home and a Senior Game Designer used to teach there before he came to Crytek. However from what I know is that all of them got hired because they got a background in games either before or after the academy and were judged by their work samples.
I'm not saying they are doing bad work there, but the feedback from the industry overall seems to be a bit disappointing.
oh ffs d3 :ssj:
Yea looks promising~
I feel pretermitted.
Fetter going to UBI? STOP IT KLEIN YOU SUCK UP ALL THE TALENT!!11
