1st photo reminds me of STALKER (not implying that the place you live in looks like Chernobyl).

The Nazi snipers alone would wreak havoc on the untrained Stormtrooper hordes
Aren't the stormtroopers clones which have been trained in warfare from day 1 of their lives

Oh wait, same applies to the Nazis

First of all this thread gets moved into the engine discussion forum (since it's concerning an editing tool) and secondly these forums are not meant to be a place where to steam off your frustration (at least not when you jump into other people's faces). I recommend getting a blog.
Now be merry and help each other.

Welcome to MapCore evillair!

I guess I'll spend most of my vacation with my family. Many of my friends leave the town for skiing

Oh well, some time for relaxing should be good.

Now that is a genre.

So i guess the question is, what do you do when your life is perfect and you still can't be happy?
You really learn to appreciate certain things after you lost them, so in case you fuck up now you might really gonna bite yourself in the ass when she is gone. Decide for yourself if this is a word of caution or advise

Dude, you HAVE TO replace those wooden crates in that rat map. Such a nice kitchen, clustered with tiny wooden crates. Try to use objects which fit more to the kitchen theme for cover.

Yep nice thread.
Right now I can sum up my life in 4 categories:
1. Work - Getting more stressful, that's nothing compared to what next year's probably gonna be like. Still very enjoyable though, I look forward to go to work.
2. Music - Music I like and play has become increasingly important to me lately. I guess you could somewhat include "party" in this category, however I rather go to clubs for the music lately than for getting wasted. Had enough of that during the course of the last year.
3. Girls - My girlfriend and me just broke up, it wasn't really going anywhere considering she is from Australia and will go back in January. So I'm kicking back a little and won't try too hard finding that special someone in the near future. If I meet somebody nice and mature, even better and I'll see what happens.
4. Housing - I didn't expect that this would be so much work, I just moved into a new appartment, all these contracts, duties, cleaning...no way I would move back into my parents home though

I also get around a lot in Germany lately, since I'm getting a little bored of Coburg. Been to Nürnberg several times during the last weeks, going to my hometown in the Northwest, been to Berlin last weekend meeting a friend. Oh man, I wouldn't mind living in Berlin...
Still kinda exhausting though, working overtime during the week and partying all weekend (maybe even a little extra work on sunday). Expensive too...oh well, you only got one life

Remind me of my first hldm maps (which looked horrible), they also had a bunch of traps like you have. Red button behind window, you press it and the ground in the middle of the map opens, all players standing on top fall in acid, or a room which gets filled with snarks etc.
The gas chamber looks nice too though

QuoteJohn Gibson - Well we do have a certain license for the hottest new gaming engine (Unreal Engine 3) that we won in the MSU contest we have to figure out how to use J But for news on what we’ll do with that you’ll just have to stay tuned.

The MOD which has won Epic's "Make something Unreal" contest, will hit stores errr "servers" in January. They won Epic's contest, an UE 3.0 license and release an enhanced version of their MOD via Valve's Steam. Ah the irony

Dunno if I'll buy it though.

I think these people protest against the false pretences for which soldiers like your father were sent to Iraq in the first place and for bringing them back home before more get killed.
However it is arguable if these protests actually help the soldiers in Iraq or not. I guess not in the short run, but imagine everybody would keep his mouth shut about the war. Maybe next week your father would get sent to Iran then.

Funnily enough the only games which caught my interest and make a 360 purchase to me still possible in the near future are "tony hawk's american wasteland" and "need for speed - most wanted".
I'm not kidding, the Tony Hawk series were some of the most fun games for the Playstation and since I've never had a PS or PS2 or any other console one of these games was on (I only played THPS2 on my PC with a controller or at friends places).
I also missed out on all the recent NFS games, although to me "NFS3 - Hot Pursuit "still is one of the best arcade racing games ever made. And now that the "fast-and-the-pimp-my-ride" underground is gone and the cops are back, it might be fun.
I really consider myself as a casual, occasional gamer when it comes to consoles nowadays, I rather play complex, immersive games on the PC. Oh, and especially FPS, because of the controls and I'm a little fed up with FPS after FEAR and Q4.

I was almost certain that I will purchase one right at the start like one month ago, but right now I think I will a little bit until there is a really good game for it out there.

too much blocky brushwork. not very interesting architecture. Too yellow.
Yes, architecture and especially that bridg looks really weird. I like the setting though. Most rooftop maps I have seen are set in industrial or ghetto'ish, very urban areas. Not in an appartment complex, with balconies and stuff.
