    Yes CryteK did.

Cryengine 2 has a lot more in stores than "just" outdoor stuff. I mostly work with interiors, the Alien interiors more specifically and there are some pretty cool things you can do. For everyone who ever wanted to build caves/organic interiors, the voxel technology makes that really easy for you.

As far as lighting is concerned, the ambient maps really do wonders and make interiors (like the aircraft carrier or factories) look much more believable.

I love the light beams that don't only cast a projected texture, but they are also affected by objects that cast shadows, so you can see the shaft being blotted out or split.

So working in games full time didn't work out for you so well after all, or was it the studio? Good luck with your freelancing and your studies!

I don't only use the bar - I also added folders with descriptive names as group categories for all my links

    [Blocked Image: http://www.friechamp.net/stuff/ffoxbar.jpg]

That's at work by the way. At home these categories are replaced with names of pornstars.

    Welcome back to europe Klein!

Wasn't hard to figure out that you weren't gonna stay at Ubi forever, but an interesting choice you made there. Didn't know Grin had plans to expand, especially not to Spain. Should be sweet to work there...

I hope you get to see your friends and family more often too from now! Keep us updated!

Well I can see that websites of this kind without a strong community around it can be a bit of a turn off, but every website needs to start off somehow right? If it was launched yesterday (or the day before), you can't blame him for advertising it to spread the word and get people to join.

These things need time Good luck!

The publisher promotion events continue and this time it's Ubisoft's turn with "Ubidays 2007" (is it just me or have these single publisher held events gained a lot more importance since E3 has been smashed to pieces?).

There is new footage of games such as Assassin's Creed, Haze and Brothers in Arms 3, but also a bunch of completely new games have been reveiled:

"Splinter Cell: Conviction", "Tom Clancy's: End War" and "Rayman Raving Rabbits 2" ( ).

http://www.gametrailers.com/ has pretty much all the media.

Any thoughts on the games? Who else thought the "End War" trailer looked pretty cool but still has no idea what the game actually is?

Ooookay boys and girls, this has been a heated yet somewhat interesting discussion, but I think somewhere on page 11-12 it just turned into a troll fest.

I find it concerning that many members seem to get so easily offended, when somebody disagrees with their opinion.

Especially when the discussion is about a video game.

    On the internet.

And I think it is not bad at all when people disagree and have different opinions, because this prevents this healthy discussion platform into a flaming fanboy stronghold.

So please keep your thoughts and opinions coming and live with the fact that no matter how reasonable and well thought out your points are, no matter how hard you stress them out and back them up - you might not convince the other person and need to let go.

Having said that - when you post your opinion or comment on other people's post, have some fucking respect.

For example - Sentura - how long have you been here again? A couple of months? Now you post one liners like "game xy sucks" and everyone else here has Blizzard's cock in his mouth.

You just don't do that, mmkay? It's common courtesy and when you feel the urge to give your 2 cents, please put a bit more thought into your posts.

But that is just an example and I don't want to burn anyone, there are others who need to catch up a bit on the "valuable post" side of the things as well!

So now please be marry people and feel free to open up a fresh, seperate Starcraft 2 thread. So we can talk games again and less about who's being the dick here, thanks!
