Yeah, sucks
Good studio, really liked Pure and Split/Second, even if it got a bit repetitive. A shame those games apparently didn't do the business they deserved to do.

So heavily scripted, but still~~can't wait for the entire demo~

Damn, only 2 months left, so close!

I hate to sound so negative about Rage, because I am looking forward to it, but looking at that video and seeing that guy dragging some stuff around in the editor makes me think: Is all this mega-texture stuff really being used for all it's worth? because from what I've seen so far it looks more like it's basically just decals and terrain paint. There's obviously the limitations of the actual budget and how much time you can spent on making things unique, as well as actually fitting it on the consoles (even with 3 discs on the 360). I donno, maybe you need to play the game to truly cherish the technology, but it just looks like something that's easily achievable with fairly old tech from where I'm sitting

Great idea, some of the most beautiful non-shadered textures I've seen. Once again, doubt I'll be able to join in, though this one is so much my alley that it hurts.

Kinda all over the place at the moment.
Playing Child of Eden with Kinect, pretty good fun but fairly hard as well. My arms hurt.
Dead Nation on PSN, excellent top-down zombie shooter, one of the best downloadable games I've played in a while.
DiRT 3, brilliant game!
Witcher 2 is good, but I'm having a real hard time pulling myself together and playing it at the moment.
Still playing Swords & Sworcery on the iPhone once in a while, slowly creeping through it.
Then I finished Infamous 2 last week, excellent game, one of my favorites so far this year.
Plus playing through L.A. Noire again, and planning on checking out the DLC when I'm done.
Also looking forward to Trenched, hope they finally decide to release it in Europe sometime soon

Really nice portfolio, love the way you're describing your work and role on each level. GJ~

Hell, I bought it twice. I feel pretty silly for doing that with this kind of a shit going on.

I hate the fact that the game turned out as well as it did. He clearly sits with a lot of confidence because the game shipped as financial success with critical acclaim. Though crunch and unpaid overtime is a general issue in the industry, then this is definitely in the more extreme category, simply shuffling new young developers in as the old ones get fed up and leave.
-
I'd rather have them make a new proper open world Red Faction :G

Looks and sounds great, can't wait!

Love that they have a universe and story where they can get away with doing this kind of stuff~External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Pretty sure it's always been a blend of various things. The racing has always been the part that has made it special as an id game, but also the part that looked the least fun. For me it's still like that based on what they're showing, I'll be very surprised if the racing feels good and solid when it's released.
-
The racing still looks super wonky to me :G

Great looking portfolio! I totally get why you haven't added descriptions on the site, makes it look way more slick and simple without, but it also does seem a bit shallow as a result. But having it in the resume is the most important bit.

Link isn't working, but I assume that's the new DLC pack. The golf course level looks cool, but I'm pretty much off the Black Ops wagon now, played the first pack a lot tho.
Did you work on this Vivi? Kinda confused as to what Raven's role is in the CODs right now.

Open world Blade Runner game.

I get why people are worried that Kyd isn't scoring this one, his soundtracks added a lot of style to the games and are a huge part in the identity of the series. However when it comes to Bateson then I think he had so few lines in previous games that people are really overreacting.

Quote from Puddy
Been playing this a bit... is it just me or is everything non-rally incredibly boring?
I'm a big fan of the visuals, the driving feel and that they cut out all the BS-talk (yay!).I find that rallys are a bit on the short side though. When my co-driver says "... into finish" I'm just getting started, dammit!
Yeah, but it's always been like that for me, in this one there's a bit more focus on rally races at least.
I am actually warming up a tad for the Gymkhana stuff, but for most part I want point-to-point rally races when I play these games.

All I can say is that it's trying some new things, but also staying pretty true to the old games.
Anyway, we cleaned out Gamespot's awards, getting their Game of Show award, Best Action/Adventure and Best on 360, PS3 and PC awards.
