  • What have you watched recently?

    Haven't seen the latest Dexter episode but it started getting better with the second episode, still not sure whether I'm liking the religious vibe that seems to be the theme of this season.

    Thought the first episode of The Walking Dead S2 was quite good, but then again I've been burned a bit before with that series. I agree that the thing with the zombies not being able to smell them was kind of a weird change, felt like they changed their stance just to have that scene (donno if its like that in the comic?).

    Oh also started watching Homeland, quite good so far~

  • What are you playing now?

    Haven't played it that much yet, but it feels very much like I remember 2 and 3 being like, except that you don't get to see how your town looks w. new buildings and all. First time ever in a Heroes of Might and Magic game I've started playing the campaign. Pretty sure I'll just ditch that and go over to playing custom maps, that's always what it was about for me.

    Still dream of a HOMM on iPhone or iPad, that would be le ossime!

    Hah just finished it, probably the weirdest and weakest ending that I've seen in a game in ages, so sudden and out of nowhere.

    I sooo figured there would be some kind of über boss since you just got the BFG, but it basically just boiled down to 15 minutes of corridor shooting with it, and thats it. Barely got a chance to use the BFG ammo :G

    Still a great game tho~~

    According to Steam I'm 8 hours in, finding it really easy as well. Started on Normal, then I bumped it up to Hard, and I'm still not getting that much challenge from it. Nightmare it is I guess. It's still fun tho, just completely maxed out in ammo and items at all times, kinda hard to feel completely threatened like that.

  • RAGE

    Latest patch made it work a lot better, way less texture pop in, still silky smooth frame rate even with everything cranked to the max. Still doesn't change the fact that everything looks extremely blurry up close, but overall then it doesn't bother me that much, looks great in general. Got to Wellsprings and did a bunch of stuff there, really liking the game so far, even if it is a linear Fallout

    Also regarding decals n shit, that's what I've been saying all along. In the end then I'm sure you can make brilliant use of this tech and really make everything look unique, but in the matter of Rage then I'm pretty sure they could get fairly close to where they are with decals and some clever texture blending.
