Really awesome movie, although I must admit that I agree with many of Fletch's points. The most obvious one being pacing and length. There was really alot of stuff that could easily be cut. When you make a 3hour+ movie I think you really need a good reason to put in that extra hour or so (except if you're just showing off in some extended version~LOTR).

But it was a really kickass movie, kong was fucking amazing, truely stunning stuff. A truely touching tale. Also one thing that I had feared and had heard was that Jack Black would totally stick out in it, which he didnt. Did a really good job, except for the part where he gets his picture taken, that JB stare, hmmmm.

Anyway ill wait till tomorrow with my final verdict, need to sleep on this one

After I got my 360 I've just been itching to get a HDTV, but I've come to the conclussion that I'll wait, and instead get a new monitor.

Im pretty much set on getting a Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW 24″ widescreen LCD Flat Panel Monitor. However I'd like to hear if any of you got one, of if you have some other ideas for good monitors that dont cost like hell.

Initial reaction was "Neat!" then it came to "What?" but I think I'm coming around. The design is nice, could use something more consistent, the lines take your eyes somewhere away from the content, pretty hectic in overall feel, but the colors are soothing so it balances it out nicely. The navigation is clear, wordpress style, doesn't take you more than a nanosecond to figure out how to use the site, content is presented nicely, doesn't clutter. Tho there could be something happening vertically too, the horizontal action on the top just makes it feel like a horisontal site but with too long pages.

The general idea with the design is to do exactly that, at least for new comers to the site. However for me it doesnt really disturb your focus when you've gotten used to it. I can totally see what you mean though, and Im sure it could be down alot more unfocused, but thats not my aim ~

I have thought about having the grey line run down on the left side to make it less empty when you view the site further down, but somehow I like the simplicity of having a really heavy top, and just plain text lower on the site.

I'll look into it, possiblity for future themes ~

And aye Frie, TIS BEEN A WHILE SINCE YOU UPDATED!

  • Its the new mazy.net!

Is that a custom theme or one by your colleague Michael Heilemann? He did one hell of a job designing k2/Kubrick. I'm personally hacking the shit out of K2 right now over at http://www.version2.iamcolin.comAnyway, the site is very good. I'm loving the graphics alongside the Wordpress-style sidebar/entries. You've also done a great job keeping the site constant across IE and FF, hard to tell the difference. Something you should definitely be commended for.

AFAIK then its been built on top of regular wordpress stuff, but its pretty customized. I think theres some stuff from Heilemann too but Im not too sure. My brother did most of the code stuff D:

my link was removed too but than again, my website http://www.thevon.net is dead for now =(

Yup, i tried to find a working one without any luck, so I cut you out fetter;(~

Too big for my taste, doesnt even fit to 1024x768 :/ It's more clear now tho, with better navigation.

It is a tad big, agreed, but I like the idea of having a big top, and then being more light further down the site. Also, its been fixed so you cant scrool horizontally now in 1024x768, so it should look better now.

    Quote from Jezpuh

Nice, though it needs something on the left to go down. I don't really like the big white space.

I thought the same thing at first, but Ive come to really like the simplicity further down the site (as I already mentioned). However its my plan to change themes occastionally (working on some already), so I might do something about that in the future

    Phew, long post~
