There arent more enemies on Hard, they're just tougher

Its a lot better game on Hard tho, imo

  • Time to move on..

Well I'm sad to hear that you're going out the business, but glad that you're moving on to something you'd rather be doing. I respect people that can pull that kinda thing.

So, how long will this education take? I have a lot of friends who are in the progress of taking education at the university, and they have like 3 years left, even after spending 2 years on it already, nuts

    But good luck

I donno, Heavenly Sword seems decent enough. Gameplay is very much God of War, which isn't a bad thing at all. Also the cutscenes are just drop dead gorgeous. Plus the reviews for Heavenly Sword have been pretty good so far. Not a 9/10 title, but 7s and 8s are also good

Aye, the reviews have been absolutely abysmal. Was planning on picking it up, but not I'm not that sure anymore, sounds like a Sixaxis nightmare :G

Haven't played Warhawk enough anyway, and it seems similar enough to Lair

  • They Hunger: Lost Souls - The end is near

    • September 2, 2007 at 10:24 PM

Always thought They Hunger was vastly overrated (especially by some people on these forums). I mean I totally respect people that can put together a single player mod thats fairly coherent, even more so when they keep doing it. They Hunger just seemed to lack anything to draw me in though, felt so dull :G

Hehe yeah, pretty awesome if you didn't know it was in there.

Reminds me that I really should try and finish the game. Got pretty far but it was so rough and buggy at times that I got kinda derailed in playing it. Was a pretty decent game tho, definitely had some good bits.

I know, was trying to be funny but failed I guess. It does sound pretty traumatizing, just seems to lack details but I guess thats how these kinda things happen (shady alleys and all).

Aye, endings were a disaster in my opinion. Really suckerpunched me since I was just playing a really through and through all round excellent game, and then it pulls that kind of crap. Sad.

Thats not entirely true though, I thought the idea of ending the game with an escort mission was horrible as well. The idea of becoming a Big Daddy by the end of the game, after having fought against them for an entire game, was kinda cool. But I do think it looked better on paper than in the actual game. It was by far not the worst escort mission ever, and its not that I really would've minded having an escort mission in the game. Its just that when you're winding down the experience that has otherwise been almost flawless in this fashion it does feel more like a mistake than something that belongs there.

Anyway, enough about that. Yeah, the plot twist, still the main thing I ended up talking the most about. Although I knew there was something up with Atlas then the entire thing still blew my mind. Its also awesome to play through the game again and notice the points where "Would you kindly" is mentioned, and how low key they're trying to keep it while still having you be some what subconsciously aware of him saying it.

So yeah. Its funny, I think its probably the best game this year so far, but also one of the most overrated ones in ages. There's something about the fact that nearly everyone gives it 10/10 or 100% that makes you look more critically on it, and even with my love for the game then I dont think it deserves those kinda scores. Its definitely a 9/10, maybe 9.5/10'ish.

Anyway, back to Hard, which is kinda hard actually

  • How are you doing?

Hmm not much to be honest, at least not compared to some of you guys . Work is good, great to finally be done with that piece of shit game (jk ). Really looking forward to the release of it, first title I've been on from the very beginning, very exciting stuff. Hope it'll be good, would suck to spend over 3 years of your life on something that doesn't sell (or rock!).

Still looking for an apartment close to work, but the prices for a proper place in central Copenhagen are just fucking nuts, so I'm probably gonna keep on freeloading until things cool down (Or I find a better alternative) :G

Apart from that then I'd still love to get something resembling a social life beyond what I got now, but with a release calender this packed for the rest of the year then I somehow doubt I'll be able to break loose from the games for a while . I'm weak, I know.

What I think Mazy here means is that you should remove it from your portfolio part of your site. It really shouldn't be the first thing a potential employer looks at. Put it in a "old work" page or something.

Cant see how you could take any other way, yeah. What? You thought I meant deleting the maps permanently? Hell no! You gotta keep that stuff for as long as you possibly can. I'd still pay a fortune to get my very first stuff back again that I lost in a format, but now its too late and its gone forever. Just don't show it in your portfolio, it detracts instead of adding.

Heh, I had an instance where all 3 Big Daddies of one level were placed pretty much in the same 2-3 meter radius. Funny thing is that it wasn't like I used the same tactic for them, was all by coincidence that the fight ended there

You really could do with higher resolutions for your images that's for sure. They're tiny. But if you intend to increase the scale when you add new shots, then I have no moans.

    What he said.

Also, Quake 1 maps? You might have nostalgic relationship to these, but its time to cut em loose . I cant see any of the HL2 or Q3 maps, but I'm gonna bet that you'll be better of by cutting Q1 maps and only showing half the stuff.

Also, too much brown right now for my likings. Brown site, brown maps, brown'ish models, brown photos. Donno, just doesn't seem very appealing from looking at the site IMO

A joyous happy sunflower map could go a long way here

Thats what annoys me about this. I mean the cars look fucking fantastic (Seriously, theres a couple of moments you could freeze frame it would actually be impossible to tell that its not a real photo).

However, graphics aside, the actual gameplay is just dull as a hell I think, and trust me, I've played a lot of GT. After playing Forza 2, complete with a pretty decent amount of body work destruction then you simply cant go back to GT's shiney bouncey cars and strange physics. They're sincerely fucked unless they change the feel of the game as far as I'm concerned. Even though Forza 2 doesn't look anywhere near as good as this (Hell, not even as good as PGR3), then it still feels a lot more complete and good than the stuff you get with GT, especially if that GT HD on the PS Store is any indicator. Beautiful cars, horrid looking levels, dull as hell gameplay.

I'll probably get it tho, gotta grab them PS3 exclusive while you can

  • I'm pretty much done with any modern PC games...

I'm still planning on getting a new PC after for Crysis (donno if I can be bothered to just play it just on my work machine), but yeah, consoles are where its at now. Much better investment overall, but I guess I'm also kinda biased since my home PC is a piece of shit now

Whoa, whats up with the 2K hate?

Also I remember spending ages trying to find a GameInformer here when we had Kane & Lynch on the cover, was impossible to find. Seems like its only being sold in the US (and UK mebbe) :G
