Good article, hadn't seen it before.

I think that I probably got over all the Gerstmanngate affair faster than most other people on the team, but in general I also have more of a "get back on the horse" mentality. I'm still surprised that it's almost sold 2 million copies to date, pretty impressive considering how it looked when things where bleakest.

Oh and regarding the movie, I cant say anything but looks like its got a lot of things going for it

As always its probably a good idea to remain pessimistic until proven otherwise

Oh and don't play the PC version, its crap D:

The newest trailer I saw had some Marilyn Manson.

I'm really interested in seeing how this turns out. It very much looks and sounds like all the Valkyrie/Angel stuff isn't just some dream sequence, but a part of the "real world". If thats the case then I'm probably not even gonna bother watching it.

I used to have that generic lack of respect for Romero, since everybody were bashing him then they would obviously be right, right?

Anyway, after reading Masters of Doom (Only book I've read in a few years, definitely recommendable) and listening to his appearance on Gamespots shortlived "Designer Threads" and generally just reading interviews with him then I've really grown to admire him. http://%7boption%7d

He's definitely got an ego, but its been blown completely out of proportions.

If I had Yoda in my copy I'd happy pay money for DLC that removed him.I don't want to derail this thread, but what's your opinion on the game? I enjoy it, but some of my friends who are really into fighting games get absolutely livid playing it. The fast characters seem to dominate pretty darn hard whenever we play - but I guess it's early days right now.

Since Seong-Mina is my main then I'm pretty pissed, they nerfed some my bread and butter moves D:

As a result I've been trying out Kilik and Cervantes, trying to brush up on them (they seems in better shape in this one).

Overall I think its great tho, at Io we have a small gang that play every day after lunch, and we have gotten to the point in SC3 where its not about skill anymore, but rather about reverse psychology and tricking the other player. However, the games we play there tend to be extremely fast paced and very hectic, and from what I've played in SC4 (Which has only been against bots so far), then it feels a lot slower. Hopefully that'll disappear a bit when you play it against a human opponent. It does worry me a bit, personally I think SC3 was brilliantly paced.

I really like the character creation, almost adds an RPG layer to the game. I'm still not sure I quite understand most of the skills tho

Anyway, I'm overall I'm fairly pleased, can't wait to get back to work and try it out against the real competition

Was originally planning on finally getting a surround sound setup, but in the end then I think going for some huge fucking front speakers instead is better for my place.

Aye, definitely a good movie. But I gotta admit that its gotten so over hyped by now that its beyond grotesque at this point. #1 on the IMDB Top 250? Whaaaat? I actually felt that a lot of the movie wasn't very well paced, it felt like they nearly had enough material for 2 movies, and at points the editing almost reminded me of Spiderman 3. Now obviously this is a film in a completely different league, and I've obviously bought in too much on the hype but it really isn't quite as extraordinary as everybody made it out to be. No matter what had happened that, then Heath Ledger gave an absolutely magic performance that actually deserves the huge praise its been getting, but as an overall movie it was just a notch over alright for me

Yeah, I already told you that I admire this decision mainly because I wish I could pull myself together and get some more concrete education as well. Just so hard when you got your dream job and a great place to work already, and it still feels too recent that I've been in school (Which is like, 5 years ago.....D: ).

Best of luck dude, maybe you'll return one day with your newly gained alien knowledge and turn IO upside down
