Still not decided on what platform to get it for. Most people here are gonna get it for PC, but I don't really have a machine that can run it properly (Unless there's a Mac version too, lol?).
Will probably end up getting the 360 version too :G

Oooo I LOVE Death Rally. I also bought it when it was brand new, played the living shit outta that game.
So much anger in this thread ![]()
No, I'm not saying anyone with a decent rig is automatically gonna pirate PC games, or at least that's not what I was trying to say.
What I am saying that the consoles (especially in this generation) represent a much more sure thing when it comes to making sure that you're actually selling copies. With PC you'll still sell copies, but it'll be easier to have your game pirated, and you will have a higher uncertainty than you will with the consoles. And AFAIK then modding consoles have more or less died with this generation.
But obviously you guys still take the PC very seriously as a gaming platform and I've just given up and taken the easy way out with the consoles ![]()
Been playing it for a couple of hours now. Its pretty good, but I gotta admit, kinda pales in comparison when you've just finished Uncharted 2, even if you can't really compare the two.
Also even though I really like Jack Black, then I'm slowly getting some heavy duty JB fatigue from this game. Maybe its not really him, but rather the fact that Eddie's character just takes himself a bit too serious most of the time, he's a bit too bluntly written. Also the RTS parts are WAAAAY confusing, so far its almost by random that I've actually made it through em.
That said, there's still a lot of love in this one, lots of funny references, and an absolutely amazing soundtrack. I'm just finding it hard to pull myself together and play this instead of Uncharted 2 MP D:
Just buy a damn console and get over the PC! ![]()

I actually think the
Quotelast boss fight
was really good, it actually emphasized what makes Uncharted unique, the platform and shooting game play.
The only thing I would point out as being less than optimal would be the beginning of the game. Although I think their use of stealth gameplay is quite clever later in the game, making it optional and not forcing it down your throat, then the Istanbul mission did feel like a 20 minute long stealth tutorial that you didn't really need.
But then again I didn't mind it at all when I was playing it, after all, I didn't know how adrenaline pumping it would get later on ![]()
Quote from D3adsYou've got be kidding? No dedicated server will kill the sales, there's already thousands of people moaning about having no dedicated servers in OFP:DR, in MW2 we'd be talking millions of threads on the IW forums about the same thing! Insanity.
Yeah, because I bet they're expecting the PC version to be their biggest seller
It does suck tho, we were planning on having MW2 replace TF2 as our official lunch game at work, but this might make it less optimal (Altho I guess it'll be fine to just host it on a regular player server
)
Uncharted 2 is gonna chart insanely, I have like 7 people on my friends list playing it at the same time, and I've never had 7 people online at the same time on the PS3 ![]()
And good for them, even though the first one ended up selling quite well then I did have some slightly lackluster in the first month considering how good it was.

Hehe, yeah I saw the unlock in the store or something. Love those kinda extras, theres a mirror world unlock as well (flips the XY coordinates I figure, ala King Kong), and one where it mirrors everytime you die. Bet that's gonna be pretty confusing ![]()
Anyway, just finished it, truly epic through and through. Without a doubt one of the best games of this generation. Now I just wish I had more time for the MP, really liked the "beta" trial.
Just got home from my vacation in New York, and I picked it up on my way home from the airport. Been playing it the entire day more or less non-stop to ease off the jet lag, I'm at about 75% through it claims, its been absolutely amazing from the very start, definite GOTY for me so far.
Demo still not up here on either the PS Store or XB Marketplace ![]()
Been playing the MP demo, really digging it. Really like the blend of shooter and platformer since there's so much space to move around in vertically in every map. It does take an awful lot of shots to take down other players, but once you get used to it then its no biggy. Also really cool to see them have a recording feature ala Halo 3's, makes you appreciate even more how great looking this game is.
I was actually slightly writing off the MP as being slight throwaway, but its really a lot of fun, plus they have a nifty currency/upgrade system. Might end up spending some time with this if MW2 doesn't take most of it ![]()
Hmmm, I'm kinda sceptical about how similar it seems to CS. I think Gooseman is awesome, and a really nice guy the few times I've spoken to him, but to me it doesn't really make sense that he'd do something so close to CS, especially with that story about him leaving Valve cause of high expectations for a CS2 and such.
Anyway, hope its good, the dogs and human shields sound like some pretty cool additions to the formula of CS.
Hehe, interesting publicity stunt, I just hope you didn't use your real account for this ![]()
I'm not gonna pre-order it, but I am gonna get it. But I guess that means no loot whoring for me ![]()
I totally love the menu system in both DiRT games and GRiD, but each to their own I guess ![]()

Starts off kinda flat and shitty, but it gets real good later on. Still haven't tried out Firefight, which is supposed to be the big thing in this one.
Aye, definitely looks like they upped their game after the first Bad Company, the destruction looks gorgeous. If they still have a SP campaign it better be better than the first gamee tho, just felt really slapped together. Wouldn't mind them focusing it all on MP, but I guess everybody demands a SP campaign from their shooters these days ![]()
