I've heard about this tech a couple of times the last year or so. Although some of the technical details still sound somewhat wonky to me, then it sounds like the end result is pretty striking. Sounds like LA Noire is going to lead the charge with this tech, very interested in seeing if it's as great as everyone is making it sound.

Doesn't exactly sound like a cheap way of doing it though. Proper old-school motion capture setups can still be a somewhat pricey affair, and from the sound of this then it sounds like a bit more significant investment. But who cares if the result are worth it

Twillight Princess is the game I've given the most chances ever (10 times, to be precise), and never ended up finishing. I just kept taking a week long break with something else, and tried getting back in with no luck. It wasn't really bad, but I Just couldn't play a game that clearly craved some hi-res graphics, voice acting and a grand score. It just felt like something you'd find acceptable for a handheld Zelda game, not proper console Zelda. And also the Wii controls just didn't feel very good.

Anyway, the demonstration at the Nintendo conference was pretty embarrassing, but it was clearly a setup issue rather than an actual mechanic game thing (I hope!). However the way they handled it just made it worse, pretending that there wasn't an issue while Miyamoto tried to do a vertical slice and ended up being unable to do so and instead doing 10 horizontal ones in a row.

I can already say now that I'm not gonna play it. It has to be some major universal 10/10 stuff to change my mind, Twillight Princess just left such a sour taste in my mouth that it's gonna take a completely new take on this series to wash it away.

Yikes, that's a pretty douchey move. Does Ubisoft have any studios in the UK?

Got it a week ago and was really anxious to try it out. Had to wait until yesterday though, cuz of E3 D:

It's good so far, but I'm only about 3 levels in. Haven't really seen any of the new powerups yet, which I guess is what this one is all about.

I'd say them sending you an art test counts as the first step before having you come in for an interview. Good luck, Naughty Dog FTW!

Yeah was good meeting you Izuno, slightly envious that you actually got to try stuff. The only thing I actually tried was Tron Evolution, was alright. It's all good tho, since I got to see the Deus Ex 3 demo TWICE Not sure how much I'm actually allowed to say, but it's without a doubt the game I'm looking most forward to now.

Also met Garnett Lee of 1UP Yours and now Weekend Confirmed fame. Was short but super cool. Also met Ryan and Cesar from Co-op who were taking a shitload of pics of the KL2 booth, awesome guys.

Anyway, heading back on Sunday. Glad it's over

BTW, I name dropped you to the Deus Ex 3 Art Director Luka, really cool guy. The Io crew are probably gonna get a tour of it tomorrow after the show. Can't wait

But yeah, looks and sounds pretty fucking grand.

Looks decent, and I really used to dig MK back in the day. Played a shit ton of MK2 and MK3, great games, even in single-player. But really, if I wanna play a fighting game these days I'll go with Soul Calibur 3 any day (Screw 4, they fucked up my Seong Mi-na!)

Just pre-ordered one (Well, technically I reserved one), 32GB Black. It's gonna be very interesting to see how many iPhone 4s Denmark will get this time around. At the iPhone 3G launch there was only about 1500-2000 sent to the entire country for launch day, which was supposed to spread out to a country with a population of 5-6 million. Needless to say that it was nearly impossible to get one at launch.

Great that Gametrailers are finally streaming the conferences live. The entire thing with being dependent on Gamespot and IGN previous years was alright, but more choices is always better

I'm gonna be over there, pimping KL2/FA on the show floor, but I'd almost rather just be home so I could casually check out everything that's being announced. My overall impression is that you only realize what's been shown at the conferences and from a lot of the show after you get home.

But it feels like this is gonna be one of the better E3s~
