    Atheist. I probably have a very gloomy view on the afterlife. I believe once you die everything basically just goes black, and then you're simply not here anymore. Not that complicated or uplifting maybe, but it feels like the only logical thing to me. Sure I wish there was an amazing afterlife where you can get a bonus life, but I don't think that's the case. Doesn't really scare me, it's just something I accept and moves on.

    I think it's totally alright that people seek religious beliefs if it eases their mind about their place in this world and afterward, if it makes living easier for them. But I also think that would just be lying to yourself, and I'd much rather be honest and not fool myself like that.

  • Pirates of New Horizons

    I agree about the naming. Not a fan of Exit Strategy as your studio name, everytime I hear it I get associations of companies in trouble or that are closing down. And I think CJ nailed it about the title name. If anything, then Pirates of New Horizons should be the subtitle, like "Annha and the Pirates of New Horizons".

    I guess I shouldn't talk, since I've always been awful at naming things. I do however know when I see a title that's less than fresh.

    i bought tht for a dollar shipped last year because i thought it was funny and had it on my 3gs for a minute. so now i'm walking around with a 500 dollar phone in the most ghetto case ever. i've gotten plenty of laughs. i'm waiting for otter to start selling their 4 cases

    im toally pleased wit how itunes dealt with the phone, i selected restore from previous phone and EVERYTHING was transferred over. when i opened safari all the tabs i had open on my 3gs the last time i synched it were even there. to be hones i never much needed multitasking, its nice that i can use pandora while doing stuff but id rather just listen to my own music. i actually find it kind of annoying that everything i open runs in the background until i turn them off, though i didn't notice any performance loss with like 10 things open.

    Huh? Isn't the Engineer able to build teleporters and dispenser with the Gunslinger? AFAIK he just gets the regular upgradable sentries replaced with the small ones, but otherwise everythings like it always is.

    Fuck me, I've an idea for a PL map going up a cliff side (volcano) for ages, and now Upward beat me to it. The entire vibe of that map is pretty much what I had in mind. You snooze, you lose, I guess :G

    But the update seems fucking great! PL map galore! Plus the Gunslinger for the engie sounds like it could create some really crazy situations.

    It does sound like the bulk of the antenna issues come from American's in areas with extremely poor reception. I'll admit that its definitely made me a tad less thrilled about it, since it does add a bit of worry whether I'll have any problems with it, being a lefty.

    Anyway, I really need a new phone, my old 3G is running like crap with the latest iOS 4.0 update, and there's also just a bunch of hardware things that have started nagging me about it. Some of the Android based phones do look quite spiffy, but I'm so used to the iPhone already, and I honestly am not missing more open source based freedom in it.

    Oh and the latest reveal is the remote control for the turret. Apparently it has a shield and fires faster, but (obviously) won't select its own targets and will have a 3 second cooldown after you're done. If this is any indication, then I was right; They're not changing any of the buildings, but rather the engie's equipment. I just wonder if the last upgrade will be a silver wrench, then

  • Deus Ex ~ 10 year anniversary

    I remember the summer when they released the demo like it was yesterday. Played the living shit outta that Liberty Island demo, and then continued to replay the game twice over the summer. So good! Would totally start playing it now if I had a PC ready that I could play it on.

    So glad I got to see Deus Ex 3 at E3, pretty confident that they've got the same core values in place that made the first game a classic. [/boast]
