    Hmmm yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat. I've heard that it's possible to play it on the MBP I have with most things except shaders on medium, and still have it be completely playable in 2v2 and such matches. But like you said, probably wont do the game justice.

    I totally understand what you're saying Warby, we've talked a lot about your first experience in any online game being EXTREMELY important to keep you coming back, and that lots of really great games can get left out in the cold if you're just unlucky and get into an unbalanced match the first time you try it out.

    Anyway, am I the only one that's actually getting the game to mainly play it in single player? Of course I'll get to the multiplayer eventually, but StarCraft has always been a single player game first for me.

    BTW, I was kinda rusty on the StarCraft story, so I found this series of videos on Youtube of a guy that basically plays through the entire game but only focus on the story bits. Spent a few hours watching it the other day, didn't regret it.

  • Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

    This would've been a good game with a shitload more polish.

    I applaud you for actually going back and playing through the game, even if it wasn't a very good experience. Hope you'll give KL2 a chance though

  • Breaking Bad

    Has anyone else seen this series? It probably has the best pilot for a series that I've seen to date. Usually it takes about half a season before I really start liking most series, but with this one I was pretty much hooked from the get go.

    It's about a chemistry teacher with an already shitty life that get diagnosed with lung cancer, and to make for a better life for his family he starts cooking crystal meth with one of his former slacker students, which leads to all kinds of trouble. It's great!

    Best of all, it just finished airing it's third season, so if you haven't seen it already there's loads of episodes to dig into, and it's definitely the kind of series where you can't help wanting a lil more after each episode. I'm halfway through the second season right now, hope it'll stay this good.

    Anyway, it's been ages since I was this stoked about a TV series, so I'm just spreading the luv~

  • Limbo

    Anyone else played it? (skdr? ) Finished it earlier today. Although I'd say the entire trial and error nature of the gameplay did start to rub me the wrong way at a few points, then overall the game as a whole is just an amazing achievement in it's execution. Some really clever puzzles and adrenaline pumping platform and action bits. Plus the the entire presentation, from the visuals to the audio just feels like it's exactly like they wanted it to be, and just has such a dense and deep look like I've never seen in a 2D side scroller. There's more atmosphere crammed into 5 minutes of Limbo than what most games have throughout.

    I really hope it sells well, being a danish game that had government funding and something of a test case in the regard, If it does well it'll be good for the entire danish games industry. Also plenty of ex-IO folks worked on it, so there's also that

    Anyway, be sure to check it out. Oh and I don't get the people that whine about it being to short. Took me about 4-5 hours to get through it, and for 1200 MS points I'd say that's money well spent.

    Hehe, don't worry about it. Kane & Lynch 1 had a few good things going for it, but for the most part it was a very rough product. Thankfully the sequel is leagues above it in every way IMO, although it's still hard to fully judge it when you've worked on it for so long. Really can't wait for it to be released to see the response.

    Regarding the PC version of Kane & Lynch 1, then I've heard there's quite a bit of trouble with it, especially with mouse input or something. I've only played the 360 and PS3 copies so I can't really attest to that.

    It's going to be very interesting. I bet it's basically just gonna be Steve stating that all phones have reception issues, and that iPhone 4 has much better reception than any other iPhone to date, but that there is an issue at the antenna base. I think the chance of them handing out free bumpers, or even doing a full on recall, is extremely slim. However it is kind of a PR nightmare for them right now, even if it is mainly a matter of poor US phone reception.

    Anyway, very anxious to see what they're gonna say, it's like a surprise Steve Note!

    I'll admit that I'm not really following the entire BP Gulf disaster that much, but I wasn't aware that there was a news blackout on it from the government, sounds very to me. Hope all this doomsday talk isn't true, sounds like a disaster on such a enormous level that I think the article is right about humans being unable to grasp it.

    Anyway, I'm gonna go get a beer
