Seriously though, reeks of them pulling a prank on this thing, the "Jump in for juicy exclusives, surprising disclosures, unbelievable scoops" line seems like an attempt to hype it up further.

Hmmm, I've just heard that AMD isn't quite so hot these days. Also, I've never actually bought an Intel CPU, would be nice for a change

I'd go with ATi, tbh. Nvidia have been kinda pants lately. :X

Hmmm yeah that's what I've been hearing as well. Planning on getting a gaming PC very soon, need it to play Civ V . Thinking about going for one of the i5 CPU's, really can't be bothered to spend too much on this thing and it sounds like that you get a lot for you money with those.

Oh yeah, got my iPhone 4 Thursday. Had been lying at the post office since Wednesday without them telling me

It's great though, I've tried Death Gripping it a lot, and the most I've been able to accomplish is going from 3 to 2 bars, held it for about a minute, figure that should be enough. So in other words, non-existent issue, at least for me.

It's funny though, apart from the screen, which is absolutely stunning, then it's really the speed of the thing that impress me. Been used to my 3G iPhone with iOS 4.0, which has basically been rendered completely unusable, and the change in speed with the iPhone 4 simply just makes it fun to use the phone again.

Also it's great to have a good camera now, especially with video.

That would result in a lot more frustrated players I think. On Medium I had a lot of deaths that felt unfair. In KL1 you couldn't just die outright, you had the 'extra lives' of adrenaline shots, but in this game if a guy gets up close to you you're just dropped nearly instantly, even if they only have a pistol or small smg, because it seems like all the guns are super damaging, relying on inaccuracy to balance them. The accurate guns (deagle, the semi-auto rifle a few of the military units drop) are all one shot kills. Maybe if the "down but not out" thing was a guaranteed buffer between you and death whenever you take a lot of damage, so there was some forgiveness there for mistakes, or if the checkpoints were more generous.

Then it's a good thing I didn't have things my way

In a way I'd prefer the scores to be all over the place like this rather than being solidly placed on the metascore. It's kinda cool that it's this dividing. Then again, I'd prefer it having scored better.

To be honest then I think the Easy difficulty should've been completely taken out of the game, and have Extreme be the new Hard. It's maybe a poor excuse, but playing through the game on Extreme you certainly can't complain that it's too short, and personally I think it makes it a lot more intense.

And yeah, the GT review is nice, lots of people seem to respect their opinion.

Hmm, is that 300 people at Crytek, or 300 people working on Crysis 2? If it's on one title....jeebles.

    Tech looks good tho, obviously.

Hehe, I love the first couple of guys that are basically just idling, but I know all about how hard it is to put on a good multiplayer demonstration so it's all good.

Looks great, love the entire feel of that map. Seems very Crytek'ish while at the same time actually being something that's not a tropical jungle.

Yeah, more breathers in general would've been nice. I'm into the fifth level on Extreme, call me biased but I'm really enjoying it Maybe my tune will changes once I get to FA, I've played that A LOT the last two years

    Damn man, that's just awful

Guess it was kinda in the air, 5 years for a company that big with no titles on the side (after 06 at least) is definitely also having all the eggs in one basket. To be honest then I find it surprising that there's not more MMO companies that bow under like this, seems like an extremely tough market. Guess APB had buzz because it wasn't your average fantasy RPG, too bad that wasn't helping.

Well, Eurogamer gave the original Kane & Lynch 7/10, and for my money KL2 is vastly superior in every way.

We got copies today, so I've been playing the story mode on Extreme difficulty, even after having played through the entire game two times or so throughout development then I still find it to be good fun. Extremely hard, but nothing anyone who's play COD on Veteran can't handle.

But yeah, the reviews so far are pretty fucking awful. I'm not saying that this is the end-all-be-all game, but it's definitely way better than the first game in my book, lots of these reviews make it out to be worse.

Hmmm, console screenshots or not, the entire point with megatextures is that you get unique high res textures all over the place.

Then again, I'm sure most of us know cases where the released screenshots of our games have been showing it in it's worst light and that released media from a game is not always necessarily taken by someone that knows what they're doing.

More importantly, though I still have a nostalgic love for id, then I have no idea why people are quite so hyped about this game. I mean it looks pretty good, but it ended up being more or less game of the show at E3 for most sites. Nothing I've seen from it made it deserve that.
