Aye it definitely looks like a level that was custom build to show to the press rather than an actual vertical slice. Looks sweet tho. Not really a fan of the art direction, but the universe looks great. Love the verticality they're hinting at.

Ordered a PC pretty much just to play Civilization V and TF2 Nothing super fancy or expensive, after spending €4500 on my last Alienware machine in 2004 then I'm kinda over that.

Antec Nine Hundred Two Midi Tower Black

    Silver Power SP-SS500 500W PSU

Intel Core i5 Quad Processor i5-760

    ASUS P7P55D-E LX, P55, Socket-1156

    Kingston ValueR. DDR3 1333MHz 4GB, CL9

    WD Caviar® Black 1TB 3,5", SATA 6 Gb/s

    Lite-On Blu-Ray Reader IHOS104-37

Gainward GeForce GTX 460 1GB PhysX CUDA

Not really following PC hardware these days, but from what I gathered this should be a decent gamer PC for todays market.

Aye, the survival bit at the end fell a bit flat to be honest. I like the idea, having an interactive bit there, but I felt that the execution was somewhat lacking. Also just looked kinda crappy with the brown/orange fog.

absolutely loved the epic last shots of the Pillar of Autumn and linking together Reach and Halo 1. Very satisfying ending for me.

Now it's time for co-op Legendary and MP

I've been going through the campaign Co-op with Wilco. I have to admit i'm really enjoying it. It is a Halo game and it doesn't try to be anything else or reinvent it's self. But, it has taken on board all that was good in previous games and learnt from everything that was bad. I've yet to wonder down the same corridor 50,000 times *cough*.The AI always seems to surprise me in Halo, i have no idea why. Maybe because so many games these days are scripted heavily and tend to just run at you. A number of times last night we would loose track of an elite only for him to appear of to the side of us. And even on normal settings these buggers take some time to go down providing you with a non-static battle that has you moving around the map.

All in all i'm really enjoying it. I expect to finish the campaign tonight.

    Pointless post is pointless.

Yeah I saw you guys playing, on Normal, really should bump that up to Heroic, especially if you're cooping it

I love the Halo AI, just gives you so much replay value. Just based on core stuff like whether you flank left or right in a fight, or if you've got more people playing, then it'll completely change the way a fight plays out and where it happens in a lot of cases.

Gonna go through it on Legendary in co-op when I'm done on a Heroic, really looking forward to it.

Just played it for 6 hours more or less non-stop and I still wanna play some more . It's not that different from any of the other Halo games but it's just super tight. Absolutely love the level design, especially later on.

I don't get why people don't get it. A fun game is a fun game.On that note, trying to do the initial campaign play through on Legendary was a bad idea.

Hehe yeah, I'm going through on Heroic the first time through. On the third mission, loving it so far.

Well, from my experience I never feel as *involved* when I play on a console as I'm miles away from the screen with no headphones and lousy controls.

Well, I usually sit up close to my TV (which is a 46", so there's basically picture everywhere) and I have a pretty kickass sound system. But I see your point if you're sitting far away from the TV. I can never play racing games if I sit in the sofa, my response time gets all fucked up

It wouldn't be as scary on a console I don't think.

    Care to elaborate on that?

Just played the demo, really dig it. Got pretty freaked out a couple of times. Totally getting this if they port it to consoles.

That said then I am suing them for ripping off my timeless classic: cs_meat2k :derp:

Played through Dead Rising: Case 0 the other day. It's quite good. I'm totally in love with the concept of prologue DLC for these kind of games, especially when experience gained in this carries over to the full game. In some ways it also quite brilliant how they almost have people paying money for a demo of the game, but since its so cheap and its a standalone location then it feels more attractive, plus you still have the trial version to check it out.

For these kinds of sandboxy games, this kind of pre-release handling has got to be the future. Especially since Case 0 apparently sold A LOT

Apart from that, playing Fragile Alliance (KL2). Preparing for Reach on Tuesday, pretty amped for it.

Aye thanks for sharing, does indeed sound like a mess, and not surprising that the game ended up like this based on that. Too bad really, the broad concept of APB is really cool.
