This has nothing to do with the topic of the thread, but just wanna point out that Crytek finally announced the release of the SDK 1.0, along with some GREAT documentation about Asset Creation for CryEngine2,

    Check it out -> http://doc.crymod.com/

The SDK also includes Tools, Example Mod, Sample Assets, High Poly Game Assets (3DsMax).

Now THIS some modding community support alright! A pat on the back for Crytek for being the best company when it comes to community support!

Valve did this 3 years ago.

Looking good but you should still add some variation to the straight rock walls. Visually that is the only thing to criticize imho. So, GJ!

Did it last night and those tutorials gave me the motivation to learn more about this engine. I'm asking me how to creat maps such as cities (like in this video) and their indoors ? How many models can I put in a map ? I would like to learn more about optimizations with this engine like how to show the budget of the map !

PS: Oh and gradulation [HP], those piece of work looks impressive !

How's the AI coming along HP?

Kinda slow actually, already been doing some tests and had to redo some of the core geometry in some parts of the map to fit the AI "needs", I wish I had done this before, advancing so much in the level without even learn the AI/Scripting of the editor was an error, so I spent the last week optimizing and redoing some of the stuff in the level, nothing major but it was important to have minimally realistic AI in the level.

Thanks for the tips you gave me Frie, big help!

Looks amazing, and I see you're using your custom config, really adds a lot to the atmosphere of the level.

    Thanks man.

Yes, I am! I'm very proud to see that thousands of people are using my ultra high config for Crysis, worldwide! Both to play Crysis, and take screenshots of their maps! It's better then the default "vanilla Crysis".

Oh cool, is that config to utilize dx10 or do you get the same results with dx9?

Same exact results with dx9, so yeah, basically the DX10 exclusive stuff is BS.

Could you snap a screen at a night scene in Crysis with your Very High config?

    Would be interesting to see.

I didn't take that shot, but I'm sure it was taken with my cfg!

Btw, the first stage of the screenshots submition for ICMC has just began, take a look at the entries, my map is in there as well.

    HPPPPP.

How did you get your island to look so damn good in that heightmap creation program you used? Did you just use one of the preset island ones? I can't really get it to look good without making it look identical to yours
