I'm sorry for FF, however Valve should be also a bit concerned because they will be competing with a free product and I'm not quite sure about TF2's replay value.I'll try both, but next week won't be the best moment for me. I'm going to start the internal testing of my own mod next week so I don't expect to play too much TF

Never heard somebody mention the term "replay value" when talking about a multiplayer game before heh

Maybe I should upgrade my PC a little earlier...

    What are your specs?

    Intel 4 3.0 GHZ

    1gb RAM

    and a x800 PRO

I can run games like DOD:S and HL2:EP1 but there are some lag here and there

It's still Monday and only somewhere around mid-day in Seattle (Valve). They said it'll be out late today.

    Tuesday for us I guess.

Do you have to buy the orange box? or is it possible to buy tf2 alone?

You have to buy the orange box at the moment. They will release each game separately at a later point.

Who's up for recreating cross the border? That was one of my fav maps from quakeworld TF.

I don't know how you would go about it coding-wise.

Looks amazing, and theres so many details when you look up close, yet it still has a really cool simplistic cartoony look. Brilliant.

Also I checked out the first commentary, really good stuff. The addition of being able to skip to the next node makes it so much easier to use, instead of forcing you to find them.

Too bad that we cant play outside the building here, stupid firewall. Had a 1on1 tho

Oh and the papers flying from the people who has the briefcase = brilliant! Both cool looking and practical for the gameplay.

Hrm looks *ok* I prefer the look of fortress forever. The hud itself makes me want to rip my eyes out. (yeah I am not a big fan of cartoony stuff in games).

Looks awful. Don't like the cartonish graphics, not at all.

Kind of weirds me out that some people are so opposed to stylised cartoon graphics in games (although I'd say this is more designed to resemble a CGI movie than a cartoon). I mean, there're a million games out there that do the grittier look and do it well.

I have to agree that the water looks weird there, though. I could have sworn it looked different in earlier promotional material. Maybe it looks less weird in motion.

Aye, the water does tend to look a bit too "chromish" from certain angles. Looks good when you look at it top down though.
