Video help!

    I've mentioned this before but haven't needed to do anything for sometime. Anyway, Im using virtualdub to compress a video recorded in FRAPS, but everytime I compress using any format (Div X, indeo etc) it always comes out really dark, what the Hell am I doing wrong? :/

    xvid is quite good for game footage, check http://%7boption%7d forums, lot of helpfull tips about compresing, montage and other usefull shit

    There should be a brightness/contrast option in VB. I dunno, I didn't use it for some time...

    Try "Super" to encode your videos. you can encode in any file type

    Also, this problem may come from your video player. Maybe it plays the divx files darker than the others

    This is the deal with compressing the videos:

    At the top you have the uncompressed video and on the bottom is what happens whenever I compress it with whatever codec be it DivX, Xvid, indeo or whatever else, it always comes out looking like that :/

    Have you tried WMV codecs for encoding? They could be brighter then the divX codecs..
