Well that sorta sucks, from everything I read with interviews with the devs you could, never said it was cut before release ever from what I can find.

    yeah :/

really though its kind of a short period of the game where you even have contact with the 2 clans, so its not such a let down. they really should have spent more time with that shit

And another thing, I don't understand peoples claims in saying stalker looks bad? Stalker looks worse than hl2? What are these people on! The lighting in this game is breathtaking, I've spent so many hours just sitting with other stalkers while one plays the guitar and just watched the rain and thunder illuminate the landscape. Truly epic stuff. One of the best looking games I've played.

And oh yeah, I hate snorks.

where the fuck did that ghost come from?!

I'll bet this is one of those games where you can play through it a hundred times and find something new and totally different each time.

    and snorks? my worst enemy.

Noticed that too. They probably play with static lighting and low settings on shit machines. Only things that look not awesome are the first person models (weapons and hands), some of the monsters in close up and the other stalker models. But thats probably something the community will fix earlier or later.

    ***MINOR SPOILERS!!***

Something I have recently noticed is the way that depending upon when you go to an area the monsters there seem to change. For example, in the X-18 (I think its 18, the one in the Dark Valley) first time it's full of Bandits in the factory above then a Snork and plenty of mutants inside. Later, once you have completed the mission inside the lab to retrieve the docs you fight back through it and it's Spetznaz and some pseudodogs.

Later still I returned there (because I had missed the monolith suit and the underbarrel grenade launcher fixing) and the upper levels were literally rammed with these evil mutated rats who swarmed at me whilst inside the lab it was stacked full of snorks.

Love these changes in monster types depending upon your progression through the storyline. Makes it worth going back to everywhere you've been before to see who is now nesting there since you exterminated the last inhabitants

Looked over the notes and it looks like its mostly multiplayer fixes. I haven't had any crashes or gamebreaking bugs yet, so I don't think I'll bother patching it quite yet.

However, this one seems sort of scary :

    61. The game will crash, halting progression when transferring from Station to the Sarcophagus.

Hope that doesn't happen to everybody :S

Is the Monolith Suit better than the Duty\Environmental mk2 suit?

Better than the Duty one, Identical to the SEVA suit you can buy off Sakharov after turning off the psi emitter. It's got a full face shiny dome helm thing on it and is worth 25k. The SEVA is worth 30k but the stats are identical to this one.

does it make you start over from scratch or somthing?

could you just save into a different file before finishing the game ? That way you could still go back?

After You see the game ending the next thing are credits and then the menu, what I was hoping for was that I will actually be able to continue exploring the zone after the grande finale, but well, seems like you can't do that, shame because there is unlimited amount of quests and stuff to take a look at

About 20 minutes into the game, its ok, aiming sucks, really buggy, Love the huge open world though. How you die is lame too. I'm sure it gets more interesting. Oh really like the reputation system and the other rpg additions to it. Cool stuff.
