[Starcraft 2] Sublunar Station (WIP)

    Hey, trying my hand at the SC2 editor. I've kinda dropped off playing, but I still enjoy watching pro-games quite a bit.


    My first attempt at a melee map. This one is meant to be pretty small (5 bases each side) and is limited to 1v1. Been kind of a pain to get playtesting feedback due to a relatively inactive player community. If anyone here still plays, I would really appreciate any feedback from a few matches. The map is currently posted on battle.net and can be played by simply running a custom game search for "Sublunar Station".

    Looks nice, I tried a starcraft 2 map out myself and I know the pain of trying to find people to test them.

    It's probably intentional but I cannot seem to find a cliff-walker entry into the main.

    Yeah, on the third base closest to the main, there is a small jump that a Reaper can use to hop into the main. Colossi should be able to make similar use of it.

    Oh yeah there it is!

    Hmm, another thing I noticed. Does a nydus fit behind the smoke vents in the main?

    No, the area behind the vents can fit a 2x2 building. So no bunkers, but missile turrets/spores/cannons can still be built. Currently space for two buildings that are 2x2. Both ends of Nydus network are 3x3.


    May be worth opening that up to Nydus play though. Warp Prisms and Medivac drops can obviously take advantage of vent area, may be worth it to extend that drop lay to Zerg players as well.

    I played a match on this, vs my friend. I was Zerg he was Protoss. I think the low ground in between mid and the main base natural is a interesting idea. Ive seen it in other maps, but there was a much larger area between the ramps, here its kind of like no mans land.
