Plus it's always nice to go outside and see that people are still alive in the world. In housing areas or in suburbs and rural areas in general there is a lot less traffic.

    Definitely this

Same. I live directly in the center, 5-10 minutes walk from work.Close to all the parties, restaurants, museum, events, ...

It is more expensive, but very convenient.

Slick furniture and setup HP. But wow! How big is that tv?

Next TV is gonna be a 65" for sure, you can never go too big with TV's xD It's pricey but I think I have never made a better investment than a TV, SO worth it. (Perhaps a projector but it's a bit annoying to set up and what if the room is not dark :/)

I do wonder as well how big that one is, does look bigger than 55?

It's a 65". Like you said, you can't get a TV that's too big, ahah. It's a plasma too, so games look very contrasty because plasma is the only tech that can actually get perfect blacks, and there's no ghosting whatsoever even on fast games like Wipeout. The only thing I need to be aware of is burnt images, it's not as risky on this new plasma TV's but if you leave something static on your TV for a few hours, it can burn the pixels down.

Also, this model suffers from some glare, but I don't mind because I always watch TV / Play games in the evening. And if I want to use it in the day I just pull the blinds down.

It also has 3D but I rarely use it, some games actually gain a lot of depth, I remember I loved Arkham City in 3D. Few blu-rays nowadays come with 3D as well, I was extremely impressed at Prometheus, best 3D in a movie I've ever seen, so sharp too.

All in all, I like! Plasma FTW.

This is the main reason I cant wait to get back to Canada. My gaming setup. Also my office. Also my dinner table. Also where I cry when I'm in the mood to play ps3.

HP's making me feel very inadequate with my 42-inch TV. Mine is a plasma though, so at least I'm still part of the elite plasma club.

BTW I wouldn't worry about the whole screen burn thing. I've had this VIERA since 2009 and I've used it for so much shit it's unreal, including just leaving games paused for hours at a time. There's no permanent burn of any kind, the worst you might get is where if you have some bright white HUD element on your screen for ages and then the screen goes all black, there's a barely noticeable hint of where the white was. It fades within minutes though.

Just be smart about using features designed to prevent this kind of thing. Most consoles, TV boxes, etc can dim the image if there's no activity for a while. I set my PS3 to dim after 10 minutes if nothing's been touched. Even then, I have the PS3 music player open all day sometimes and there's no burn where the UI elements are, and I use maximum brightness.

This. Saw Prometheus with a work mate in LA on a 3D TV and it convinced me that its worth picking up a good TV and Bluray Player since the quality is beyond anything I've ever seen on a TV before. So crisp!

Here's my computer room - TV room is a little drab in the new house, and not worth picturing in its current state. May have to invest in one of those 65"+ TVs to match the room size

Boy, this IKEA shit is hard-going. The desk was a bastard to build. Computer room is now up and running, although one half of the room will remain unphotographed for that's where all the boxes and junk are until I buy some kind of cupboard to put them in. ;(

    [Blocked Image: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/37346336/desk.jpg]

I've temporarily enlisted one of my balcony chairs as a computer chair, but now I've been sitting in it I'm actually really liking the feel, great back support! Tempted to grab a third one for permanent use in here.

Now the next big task: building a whole new PC to replace this shit one which is still limping on from 2007. Jeez.
