As Paul said, the Museum level is my design but had a couple of art guys work on it too. Hopefully there will be quite a few previews/interviews up in the coming days from various establishments.

MP games have a lot more considerations optimisation-wise than SP Pogo. That being said this is also pre-alpha footage

    excuses excuses.

also, this is human vs ai? i hope so otherwise this is going to be shit after the first week once nobody is playing it anymore ;(

I'm sure they made it look that way to show off how deadly the guys in the suits can be. In a real match I imagine there to be a lot more people fighting back (hopefully!)

Thanks Rick. I'd criticise you right back but I can't, because I like BF3.

Yes, the trailer was quite scripted.

How popular was the multiplayer in C2? I always find it hard to imagine primarily single-player games like Crysis having particularly strong multiplayer communities in this era of pretty much everyone sticking to a few FPS IPs, even though the quality of many games' multiplayer offerings seems to be really high. It must really piss off you guys who work on the MP side of things knowing that your work will almost certainly be underrated and under-appreciated.

With that said, I guess as long as you have people to play with it's all good. I guess I miss the days when multiplayer communities were really strong and you gamed with the same guys all the time.

C2MP died pretty quickly even a week after it was released there weren't many people playing it. It was fun, no doubt, but it was a bit too much like CoD as far as design went. So people just played CoD that had far higher production values.

C1MP was pretty awesome but suffered from a lack of people actually able to play it, even though it was really good.

There was a surprisingly high amount of players for MP for quite some time, just a lot of technical issues that got in the way and tarred a lot of peoples experiences. I'm not going to say numbers because next thing it'll be all over the web ;D

The drop off we had eventually was pretty high and we hope to rectify that with C3MP.

C2MP was the living proof that no matter how good your game is, if you don't support it, people will show you the finger and turn the other way. The game was actually loads of fun, and the maps were pretty nice too, if only a bit noisy art wise. (I like my Quake experience mipmaps = 5)

I got extremly high hopes for C3MP tho, UK studio are a bunch of very talented guys.

I hope you learned from the multiplayer in Crysis 2 that letting client-side XML-files do the math isn't such a bright idea on PC

    That looks absolutely gorgeous!

But to be honest I don't think I'll be getting it. I'm kinda bored of single player shooters these days.
