HP, your image brings us to the bigger question; who the fuck buys game guides?!

I buy all the Final Fantasy guides after I beat the game to see where I can get all the shit that takes 100hrs.

While FF13 could've been a single page pullout with "go forwards and press X" on it, they are full of stupid stuff that requires a guide. I'm sure the Internets would figure it out eventually but it's purposely hidden.

So you think the guy writing the guide was thinking "Damn I wish I was playing Deus Ex right now" ?

Just about to fight Gwyn. I spent a lot of time leveling faith so I can get replenishment.Pretty underwhelming with my magic abilities right now. Pretty close to being able to use TwOP. I feel bad about using it in PvP though.

unfortunately due to the game's failure to communicate anything correctly, I did not buy Iron Flesh nor can I buy it because the merchant is gone. It seems like I can get him to 80% but then I'm just stuck in a battle with no health and no endurance and nowhere to recover.

Are you a caster or melee? If the former, just roll between the rocks while casting spells. If that doesn't work, go level up some more and try again.

    GAME DESIGN!

actually, yes. this is the kind of game where you can beat bosses without leveling if you're good enough.

but if you're not that awesome you could just level up to make it easier for yourself.

What is he using? Drake sword? I am using flame katana+10 and +4 black knight shield.. I should probably go grind more to get the +5.

I was doing a bit better last night, got him around 50% health. I took some time to head back to the Great Hollow and got the endurance ring which helps quite a bit. I have done about 3 successful parries the entire game so I don't know how well I will do there :/ My char is melee focused, something in the upper 70's

It also seems like when I roll away from his grab he still gets me, when in the videos I have watched they avoid the grab?

I got him! Son of a bitch, I got him. Took about 3 more tries tonight. I went off to farm some more stuff but was dying there so I just went back for Gwyn and took him down just with

good fire resistance and endurance gear with lots of blocking and careful attacking

. Despite some of it's problems, I would still give this my game of the year award.

    what is your SL?

try to go in at about 80-90. Then there will be a lot of white soul signs. He's really not too hard.

Also all the guards leading to Gwym have guaranteed chunk drops so if you are weak on weapons you can get to max after a handful of runs through that world. Also if you put down a white soul sign and defeat gwyn you get 50k souls.

    oops nm congrats

There is always possibilities to have games adapted on PC and the good news is that Dark Souls is not a 100% typical Console game so the adaptation is possible. Now to make things happen, let's say the demand has to be properly done. someone to make a successful petition?

40 hours in this is the best game last year.

I don't think there's anything I don't like about it. I think it's probably one of the few basically perfect games. 12 fps or not.

Prepare to die edition sound intimidating as hell considering the game's already difficult. I wouldn't mind playing it but GFWL is a bit of a turn off.
