I like the part in Bioshock where you go down the first lift and your computer crashes.

I loved the first half of Bioshock and hated when it became linear right before Ryan.

There was a really weird switch, especially

having to escort the Little Sister through the training course near the end.

But I guess by that point you already knew you were

    brainwashed

, so I guess they have that going in their defense, even if that's pretty weak.

Despite that, the skyrails in the Infinite trailers make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Just something about flat out falling to the next rail, the sound of the wind, it's intense.

I really loved Bioshock up until Ryan. Where the game should have ended imo did not enjoy anything after that point.

i completed bioshock, and that's pretty impressive considering i don't complete many games these days.

bioshock 2 lasted about 20 minutes and was never launched again.

I recently played through Bioshock 1 and 2 and I honestly enjoyed 2 more than 1. The gameplay is really fine tuned and I think the atmosphere is much more believable.

Agreed. HL1's much-copied intro is unbeatable, but beyond that HL2 just soars and soars.

Love that they have a universe and story where they can get away with doing this kind of stuff~

This is amazing, what a great company making design driven games.

I hope she won't annoyingly ask "which one do you want" every time.

I'm just glad to see that the new trend in gaming is "player options".

Yeah im pretty dubious of calling 3 completely scripted things the player has to choose 1 from, player choice. Sure its better than games like COD, but that isn't much of an accomplishment when this is simply adding the sort of things that have been in PC games for 15 years.

Although to be fair everything ive seen of this looks like a massive improvement on Bioshock. As long as they don't hype this like they did Bioshock and then fair to deliver.

Hmmmmmmmm. Seems like they're just giving the illusion of free choice here, seems a bit gimmicky to me. These things may as well just be scripted...

He's not talking about player choice in the sense of an RPG where your drastically changing the story line, he's talking about player choice in how one can approach combat. Between weapons, whatevr they are calling the equivalent of plasmids, and tears theres a pretty large amount of flxebility in how you approach a combat situation. More so at least than most first person shooters offer and, with the introduction of tears, more than previous Bioshock games.

he did say that plasmids were a result of gene hacking that occurred in or right before bioshock 1, so i doubt we'll see any of those. he did also say that tears represented the same thing plasmids did in bioshock.

If you watch the original trailer he drink something and then shoots something out of his hand, thats what I was talking about when I said the equivalent of plasmids. Its been made clear from the beginning that there would be no actual plasmids.

The equivalent to plasmids in Infinite are called vigors, the tears are a new thing entirely.

if they do add plasmids, it kind of ruins the entire thing building up to gene research in their 1940 storyline. what the fuck?
