The scary case of Infinity Ward

    Another 4 went today, its posted in the normal places, few lead's. It's really sad and makes you wonder how long before they merge whats left into the other two studios to get rid of the bad public image. Not that 90% of COD players know or care.

    I don't think so, a lot of players don't know about that moves in companies so the "Call of Duty" brand fanboys won't see the possible difference in quality of new IW's games.

    But, don't forget, who would have expected back in the day that this newfangled "Call of Duty" game was going to unseat Medal of Honor for the next decade?

    I don't think that we'll see an immediate effect for this year's COD, people are already mostly immune to the developer swap going on there, but when Respawn's game hits it'll be with the biggest proverbial guns they have blazing.

    Things REALLY get crazy in the off chance they win the suit against Activision. But that'll probably settle out of court; these things usually do.

    My bro is your typical modern gamer hooked on CoD:MW2 online and when I brought this up he didn't know who Infinity Ward were.

    But Respawn can write "from the makers of Call of Duty and Medal of Honor" on the box. So w/e.

    I could see Activision having something to say about that. But COD was not THAT big until COD4, if they make a game that's got the same appeal, XBL beta and a good marketing campaign behind it then I am sure it will be massive.

    Activision can't stop them from quoting "From the makers of Call of Duty" on the game box. I've got a generic brand of cereal in my kitchen RIGHT NOW that says "If you like Honey Combs, try these!" on it.

    That's a lot of leads departing. From our outside perspective you have to think the end is coming, though who knows what Activision will do at this point.

    oh man the funniest part about this whole thing is EA's statement:

    "we dont have time to respond to all of the lawsuits that activision throws out against all it's creative partners and employees"
