    I'm honored.

Thanks, thanks, thanks and thanks again for all the motiviating comments. I have to admit that actually there are some problems - especially heavy lagging caused by not-existing dynamic lights (all 'dynamic light'-flags are off) - which I have to take care of before calling it 'beta'. I hope this will happen before december 15th since this is the deadline. Maybe it's the lift (func_tracktrain)...

Further than this, there aren't any soundscapes yet, and a skybox is still missing, too. I'm working like a machine to get this finished in time, believe me.

    Mapping isn't always fun.

Wow, very impressive, especially with only the HL2 textures.

    Looking forward to playing it

mapping is ALWAYS fun Try removing all the lights and see if the lights are really what is causing the problem.

BTW glad to see you're on Nightwatch. They can definately use talent like yours. What area you working on? I did the new silo work and chopper chases.

I know, and you also mapped for FA. We've got so much in common.

I'm currently working on the source-port, actually on the 'arrival'...

Just when I think the standard HL2 content is stale, I see this. Very special indeed.

Best of luck sorting out those bugs, I want to play this in the flesh.

Deckaux: The metal beam structures in the last pic look kinda odd and out of place, but the rest looks pretty damn fine, good luck on completing it in time!

    Welcome to MapCore ken!

Not sure about this, but for me those light beams/ the spotlight things always lag me. When i put one in my map i can see the fps drop alot.

    And welcome ken

Really impressive looking foward to play this. So far i think you'r the winner of the competition, and we are also considering to extend the deadline to the weekend, since it's a bit weird to end it in the midlle of the week

Looks sweet Deckaux, reminds me alot of the classic Unreal Tournament maps, which had alot of metal beams going all over the place as well. Really nice lighting as well.

Uh, 'winner' sounds great. When will you be sure of the postponement?

BTW the spotlights and the lift weren't causing the problem. I'm still looking for the reason.
