No matter how much I love Dragon Age I completed Mass Effect 6 or 7 times (lost count) although Mass Effect is a mixture of every scifi film/production I've ever seen with a cool story it's more original to me than Dragon Age (environments, characters and even story tbh)

Both games are borderline godness to me though, one day hope I work for Bioware ;P

Hah! And I thought I was excessive completing it 3½ times for the achievements, damn

i really liked the story of mass effect, but gameplay wise i've seen better rpgs out there. of course in the end it's the experience that counts, and i will be getting ME2 by the time it comes to pc, but really, don't overhype it.

I kinda wanna know why there is a four hour difference in unlock time between the two editions on steam:

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/901242/

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/24980

any of you industry insiders think of a reason for this? I don't really care, since the delux edition unlocks at 4pm for me, which is the same time I leave work so if it's released on time, it's perfect. I just don't see any logic behind it. You'd figure the more expensive version would unlock 4 hours earlier as an incentive for people to pay more for it. :/

Just wrapped up my second ME1 playthrough moments ago, save game ready and waiting for the new copy tomorrow. Haven't been this excited for a game since HL2. If I didn't have a child now, I'd take the day off from work for this one too.

Similar thoughts here. I'm honestly not that much into console RPGs (though I loved Borderlands which is a kind of RPG...) but I feel that I didn't give ME1 enough time despite enjoying it, even more than Fallout 3 or KOTOR...

WTF guess this may be one to suck up my time now...

Heh you don't need a save game at all my friend tells me. You can just tell it how you wanted the first one to finish with a quick questionnaire it gives you.

Argh I completed most of the side quests (except for the resources ones) but I can only reach level 51'ish

My copy should be here by the next week if everything works out (I bet it will arrive in Brazil by tomorrow but get stuck in the customs for a week or so).

Hmmm, I'm in love with Miranda.

Anyway, does this game require internet validation like the first one? Because my main computer doesn't have the internet and ME1 doesn't work on the laptop I'm currently using.

Yeah I played with a character I had already played through with once and I was on a pretty high level when I started. But the steps are really big around ~60 so I still have to work for it the second time

59-60 is a HUGE jump, getting 60 by the end of a 2nd playthrough is going to be pretty difficult if not impossible. I'm probably going to go try an insanity playthrough at some point to wrap that up, still have 100k XP to go or so.
