Street Fighter IV

I use an arcade stick. I got the collectors edition but had the joystick replaced cause it was a 4 gate (extra 30 bucks right there) then my fast punch stopped working so i had to switch out one of the extra buttons on the controller for it.... I haven't even used it for a month yet lol. I wonder how long it will last me.... stupid mad catz!

Anyone used both octo-gate and square gate? When I think about it I feel like I'd be better off with square gate, I seem to remember octogates being really slippery.

Yeah, Gen is that character who is a pain to use for no real reward. Every fighter needs one!

I’ve used all kinds of random configurations in the wheeler dealer arcades of London. I like a bit of slip in fighters because it makes circle motions eaiser, but you will be jumping randomly until you get used to it. The best two are the Sanwa JLF and Seimitsu LS-32-01, for fighters and shmups respectfully, and both let you adjust the gate. At least, they are according to the notes of my now-abandoned "take myself into financial ruin" project of opening an arcade in 2008.

I dunno whenever I play a high ranking Gen they just destroy me. Some of those style swtiching combos are just brutal

I imagine he attracts high-level players because of the execution hurdles.

Just bought the 50$ fightstick last week, for the money it's well worth it. Also since it's USB I can use it on my PC which really makes it worth it.

That said, it still wasnt exactly what I wanted, my biggest issue was it was a little small when I'm trying to pull QCF and jab, my hands tend to get in the way of each other. Anyways I ordered the madcatz champion edition with the sanwa parts. Every day I check the mail like a kid waiting for Christmas
