At Quakecon they demoed all 3 versions simultaneously. The PC version really shows off the megatextures way better than the 360 version, which is what you see in all these videos.

Looks like the interact prompts are "E" in the latest vid (only watched low-res) - looks like the PC version.

This game appears to get more and more generic every time they show it. I got kind of angry when the gate dropped so the enemies could do their scripted jump in animations before the gate magically opens so another guy can somersault into the room for no good reason. Looks even slower than D3, too.

shit, i don't know what to think about this game, i'm not like "WOW RAGE!" i'm more like, "ehh rage". It looks good but it doesn't feel fresh and for me it isn't interesting in terms of buying this, for now

id Software confirmed last year that it would no longer be licensing its internally-developed game engines to other companies outside of parent company ZeniMax Media, including its new id Tech 5 engine.

I didn't know this. That sucks.

It's not like companies raced to license IDTech4 anyways , mostly their partners.

This looks excellent. That Carmack interview was great, I learned more about graphics tech in that 20 minutes than in the last 10 years. Has anyone seen what the mod tools are gonna look like? I've never done any mapping for an id game, looks like Rage would be as good a game as any to start.

guessing something along the lines of gtkradiant or w/e. given id's history, i think it's gonna be more intuitive than the likes of 3dsm or unreal.

In the few months I've been digging through Mapcore I don't think I've read anyone say anything good about any engine ever. I'm left to believe that all tools are equally terrible thus equally awesome.

The most truthful comment i've seen here in a while. Anyway yeah, no matter how awesome the tools are, the people using it always hate it.

Radiant is tough to master but I've learned to enjoy it.
