Finished the game today, how the hell am I able to continue to play? My game stopped and the credits came up... Or do I need that patch to continue to play?

    Quote

Other than that, I kinda "cheated" my way to the finish, got kinda dissapointed, since I think I missed out of a part. Here's what I did:

When you start on the catwalk at NPP, I got all the way until you reach the NPP itself. When I got onto the first platform, there was a lot of pipes, a teleporter anomaly and 2 or 3 more levels that I could reach. None of the lead anywhere except for one leading to a fenced in place on the ground (not a single way to get out of it, I tried a lot of different things on the fence and such. Had no more missions except to disable streloks psy protection.

So, after 1 hour on the NPP, not getting anywhere, I jumped off the catwalk, and to streloks position and killed him.. Then I got the end movie and the credits came up.. Gah...

Any ideas of what I missed out on?

But do you know if I missed out on anything special in the storyline? Or did I just speed things up a bit?

Hmmm. Steam version seems a lot more unstable. Mine has crashed 3 times in less than 2 hours...

Fact or just me doing different things?

Very strange, since both are 1.504 patches... My other version crashed 1 or 2 times during the entire main story (didn't do many side quests)..

Patch 1.505 is available for download and it is compatible with previous save games.

Did Deep Silver's website get hacked or something? Because the changelog is ridiculous as fuck. Like if The Onion or Something Awful were to write a changelog making fun of Clear Sky's bugs, that's how it would've turned out. Seriously, "- Fixed several errors in multiplayer chat, including the fact that the following letters could not be entered in some circumstances: A, Z, X, C, V.", "Fixed an error, which sometimes caused the game to crash to desktop when the game was saved during an NPC death animation sequence.", how could either of those possibly exist in a retail product on it's fourth patch

Because, like the original Stalker, Clear Sky was rushed out of the door way before it was ready. So naturally it's got more bugs in it than a rain forest.

Some of my early adventures. Anti Aliasing is on full but it still looks really rough and jaggy

I'm playing in 1680 res but resized them to 1280 for file size.

I recommend using float32 for clear sky:

Whats the deal with people still sodding dying for no reason, it's so annoying! I save a stalker in the cordon, after wolf asked me to. I save him. Bring him back to base, go off to do another task, come back, and the stalker I saved is dead on his back with everyone standing around as if nothings happened. Ugh.

All it does is crash the game for me. Had to re-install it. Naice.

Does anyone else have invisible camp fires? This game is so unbelievably buggy it's hilarious. But yet soooo good. Gah.

I've walked over some pits that were put out and burned myself good. No one seems to care if it's burning or not, they'll crowd around it anyway.

I love watching Stalkers play guitar... with their MINDS. Must be a rare artifact.

And how can you complain about random corpses? That's how I get my best l00ts.

I guess that also clears up the Bandits and their uncanny powers. Reincarnation, teleportation, astroprojection, and the ability to produce unlimited squads regardless of strength.

Funny thing happened last time I cleared the Depot for the umpteenth time, though. Since I already killed the old Bandit leader, this time the leader appears to have been Senka, the mechanic's friend who's always sleeping in the corner. Never saw him as the power hungry type.
